I ran a K&N drop in oiled filter in one of my jeeps, and what I seen in the air pipe pissed me off. I went and bought a stock filter and put that back in. I will never run an oiled filter again. I'll stay with dry filters, and top quality ones at that.
For those that don't like the 'oiled' filter,

I'm Air Assault also. I flew my second tour with the 101st. Up on the Dmz,71-72.
I had the same problem until I pulled on the unlocking strap and it locked right in.
Thank you both.Yeah,I don't do well with the 'text msg shorthand' either. I am used to spelling everything out,and the abbreviations I do use,are also old school. Thanks again guys :like::beer::thumbsup:
Free up your exhaust first. Then your intake. Just like you had your ride done. Decide if a tune is worth losing your warranty over should something happen.
The SINGLE biggest breathing restrictions on any new vehicle will always be the stock exhaust systems. A simple muffler delete,(replaced of course with a straight pipe) for the Ranger and leave the resonator in place. That alone will give you the most bang for your bux,so to say.
Then go on a...

Here's the vid:
If this would be your first mod to your ranger,do the exhaust first. It's very restricted and if you don't,and just go with a cai,you won't notice anything but noise. Remember,"easy out-easier in". The exhaust system on any truck is totally constipated and the engine really has to work harder to...
I've been keeping my eyes open on the mid size market. For me,there was only 3 to choose from,ranger/colorado/gladiator. First I drove the JT,and it didn't impress me in a positive way. Had I gone with that,it would have been my 4th new jeep,so I'm not a stranger to them.
Next,and the one I was...
I believe, after extensive research which I can't tell you about,it is an experimental fitting for a future optional miniature quantum flux capacitor. For real....:sunglasses::thumbsup:
My last vehicle I ran nothing but Royal Purple, and their microfiber filter. With this truck,I plan on going with Amsoil, and their microfiber filter. I will also have the front and rear diffs changed out to Amsoil full synth gear lube.
