Yes, the modules have to be programmed. Just wish they were like Mopar key fobs, which are bricked if you try to program new VIN to it.

This stops tailgate theft, doesn't do anything to stop tail lamp theft.

The wheels I'm looking to get are like 20-22 lbs each(several websites list differing weights so ill probably contact the manufacturer for the accurate weight). My goal is to stay around the same combined weight, which is 60lbs

You can offset heavier tire weight by switching to lighter rims, that's my plan to minimize mpg loss.

Battery replaced under warranty in December of 2021. In forscan, changed charge setting from 75% to 95%. Time will tell if the change helps.
