I just sold my 2004 Mazda3 to a guy who had this happen. He had an older Honda Element and the repair to replace the converter was $4800! So he collected the insurance and bought my car instead for $2300.
A lot of what these cans pick up is condensation. They just don't warm up very fast mounted where they are. Having a 4 cylinder in a larger engine compartment doesn't help in warming the cans up fast either. I have a nice UPR setup in my Mustang that I track at road courses. My can catches the...
Wow... I made two different builds to check. I thought I scrolled all the way down, but apparently I didn't. I must have stopped after the wheels thinking that was as far as it would go.
Maybe this has been covered. If so, I obviously missed it. It looks like the only way you can get the electronic locking rear differential is with the FX4 package. That's a shame.
That's exactly how I feel as well. I was also surprised by the fact there were very little swirl marks to speak of in the paint when I polished it. I don't think the dealer washed it much though it was on their lot for 4 months. However, it did have a couple spots on the roof where something was...
I've been extremely happy with ceramic coatings so far. However, what I had professionally applied on my Mustang and then by me on the Ranger where high quality products. It's not the same as these spray on hybrid ceramics that are all the rage.
My truck sits outside and I did not do the...
3/4 of my driving is 20-25 mile there and back round trip hwy. The rest is around town stuff. The first analysis was with the factory oil from May thru July. Relatively warm months. Plus, the first 1300 miles were from driving the truck from Colorado back to SoCal - all hwy. It resulted in a...
OK @createaneutron, I've attached my latest oil analysis from Blackstone. It includes the original factory oil sample on the right hand column and my latest oil sample on the left column.
Surprisingly, my percentage of fuel in the oil dropped from 2.8% to 0.5%. I don't know if it's...
Personally, I don't think nearly as many people actually pay attention to what is going on with the oil. They might check the oil once in a while, but most take their vehicles to a dealer or quick change oil place for service and just are not aware of what is going on. People who participate on...
I've been looking hard at these tires. I know they fit with stock wheels and a 2.5" lift with no mods to the crash bars. Have you noticed a decrease in acceleration or performance? What about stopping? Thanks!
I just found this. Read post #50. He has the same offset wheels with 285/70R17 Ridge Grapplers and a 2.5" lift. He had to use aftermarket crash bars. https://www.ranger5g.com/forum/threads/tire-size-fitment-master-thread.1680/page-4#post-60629
I believe most of the installs with 285/70R17 tires and a 2" lift that did not rub were using the factory wheels (+55 offset) with no spacer or a 1/4" spacer. Though the +25 offset aftermarket wheels in a 17x8.5 is a real nice fit, I don't believe that you will not rub without needing to modify...
I've always thought that 20's on small and midsize 4x4's were for posers (no disrespect intended). In other words, guys that like the idea of an off road looking truck, but have no idea of the tire wheel relationship for off road. They just think it looks cool, so they must be cool if they run...
