You just need to remove all the bumper brackets. My pictures show the before and after. I modified the tow plug bracket to tuck it better. If I was more patient i would have used my plasma cutter and cut out the opening right where the stock tow plug went.
They all added up. I don't think there's one
i wouldn't have done. The way I seal the hood/ radiator cover added to the efficiency of the big mouth. It helps with mileage at higher speeds. But if you have the actual external snorkel that's irrelevant. Unfortunately I heard Maxbore passed...
Most people don't know about U0422. You already do then your good. There's just no way around that one whether you make the change in forscan or the tuner.
There's no 93 or 92 here in kommiefornia. 92 went seat decades ago. I bought a 2 tune deal from him and tune for 87 and 91. Just a word of warning when you try to calibrate for tires and gears, you can get speedo dead on but it will generate a U0422 code. We've tried everything including...
I spoke to that engineer himself and he said it will fit whatever came stock with the bronco m190. As far as I can find 4.46 is the biggest gear you can get stock with the M190. Take that a you will. Maybe Yukon designed their higher gear differently with enough clearance. That's all I can...
Well, the front I was only able to find with the carrier. You might have to search a bit more to find the ones without the carrier. You might have to either reach out to Dana to see if they have those or through ford directly. The rears can be found for sure without the carrier.
There's a video Dana put out on their FB page about the housing and gears. Look it up. Just trying to give you any info on what might be something to look out for. It was from right before I installed them.
Here ...
I'll note again that the Dana engineer i spoke to said that only up to 4.46 would fit the stock housing. It's about the ring gear distance to the housing. Anything closer to the housing and you'll have oiling issues. I would look into that.
Considering my driving patterns since I've done the gears have been worse and I'm still getting about the same and better is working. Stock was around 1900 at 55 mph. That's what I'm back to with the 33's. I would try to shoot for that speed/ rpm range with whatever tires size you have.
Then you don't understand ratios and larger tires. When you put bigger tires it moves the power band. You've moved the normal operating range below the intended threshold. It struggles more at rpm's that are too low. Change the gears and it puts you back into a more efficient range. That's...
I don't know. You'll have to search 4.27 for M220 diff and see. They might be listed for a different vehicle but they're the same.
Nothing needed to be done with the tune.
Aside from being done? It's running exactly as I expected it to. Rpm's are in the right range, no more lugging in 10th, no more needing to downshift as low as 46mph. And tons more acceleration of the line.
A friend at the dealer did the work on the side and it took a coulple week's though.
