I don't have any bright words of wisdom, but maybe a little humour would help. I heard the other day about the inspiration for a country song: a guy's truck getting so smart (electronic technology) that it dumps him.
Good news is the dark days are always followed by sunshine and fair winds.
I use two ratcheting cargo bars securing two perfectly sized plastic tubs with latching tops. Working perfectly. Easy to remove if I need the whole bed.
Is this the product or is that a special Taper Seal kit for the Ranger?

Very happy with it. We’re fussing to seal the front edge where it has to match the Ranger’s annoying bulkhead dropped edge, but ARE is sending a fitting to try. Enthuze supplied one with the tonneau I used to have on this truck that sealed that front edge fine.
I have been asked about height. This topper is about 2-3" below the top of the antenna on my 2019 Ranger, as you can see here. The highest part of the topper is 77" (6 feet 5 inches) above ground, based on my two-handed measurement standing on a stool using a 6' level and a tape measure...
Spent 4 and a half hours the other day washing and waxing the Ranger. Next day the gall-danged grackles found it and have been crapping on it ever since. Latest trick I’m trying is a piece of flappy plastic bag tied across the roof.
My thought is that after so many generations of trucks over the past 100 years that drivetrain vibration would not be a problem at all. But it doesn't appear to be isolated to Ford trucks.
Story continues. Talked to the undercoat shop. They checked with head office who confirmed that they had issued a direction not to spray in that area above the fuel tank on these trucks. So they gave me credit on next years undercoating. All good until last night: got the same error code check...
