Hankook's have the best on-road performance for an A/T tire. I believe the Dynapro ATM (that comes standard on FX4) are 36 lbs, very quiet, get good fuel economy, do well in the rain and snow. K02's, Grabber's, Wildpeak's are all indeed heavy and have a bit more road noise. When I went to the...
Lol, once I started doing my own oil changes and saw advertisements for quick oil changes, I was so confused why someone would want a quick oil change.
Even oil changes I don't like others doing on my vehicles for two reasons: 1) You never know if they actually took their time to drain all the oil out, and 2) I guarantee myself that the filter will come off without hassle if I change it out every time.
The Ranger is my first truck, and I actually find myself missing enclosed lockable storage more than being relieved that I have an open bed. That being said, throwing dirty stuff in the back and not having to worry about getting your carpet muddy is a huge plus. I just need to get a bed cover to...
The more expensive but probably easier option would be to just buy a whole new Bronco :giggle:
I'm seriously going to have to restrain myself when it comes out bc losing all that depreciation would be pretty tough haha
Yeah, it shouldn't be difficult to bolt in and making controls for it. Would def be cool. Only thing I would be concerned about is the range of motion of the driveshafts. Even if Bronco and Ranger share similar subframe architectures, I wouldn't be surprised if Bronco has slight changes for...
Leveling will probably help, but if you don't want to level if you don't have to, you can try adjusting the crash bars first. First, you can take the plastic covers off that are held in with push pins to see if you get the clearance you need. If that doesn't work, you can loosen the bolts...
You okay dude?
Usually, no, traction control would not affect mpg. But who knows how different engine settings affect the calibration in these new trucks. It literally doesn't hurt anybody to give it a shot.
Haha well to be fair, I spent Jan-Mar this past year in Phoenix for work, and I was shocked at how cold it got in the morning. It was tough to pack a suitcase for 3 months of clothes to account for those cold frosty mornings and scorching heats in the afternoon!
Jeez haha winter blend stops in June!? I mean Michigan is cold but not THAT cold desert boy  the traction control is definitely interesting, I'll give it a try!
So on my recent tank, I just somehow gained about 3 mpg...where it was 16-17 mpg, now I'm at 20 mpg or so. My driving habits haven't changed and I've been going to the same places! I wonder if the engine is just really sensitive to different kinds of fuel.
Man, I'm battling with this issue on my RX7...I hope I don't have to deal with it on my Ranger lol.
It's definitely odd that it starting out of nowhere, but if you're not overheating, there's not much you can do besides keep an eye on it to troubleshoot. Obviously taking it to the dealer and...
Yeah a drop from mid 20s to low 20s is totally expected. I wouldn't care at all either - it's the price you pay for the larger tires and lift. But when you're seeing MPGs in the mid-teens, it starts to get annoying and worrisome.
Will not fit without crash bar mods, spacers, and/or lift. You will definitely lose acceleration and braking performance. Shifting will not be an issue. Fuel economy will hurt.
@AzScorpion thanks for the detailed reply! It's so strange that people are getting wildly different MPG figures. I thought mine was starting to suffer because it is getting warmer in Michigan and I've actually had to start turning on the A/C. But then I realized A/C in 80 F weather shouldn't be...
I got mine on Amazon, if you catch them on sale, they're FANTASTIC value. I love every aspect about the tire except for fuel economy, which I don't necessarily think it's necessarily a fault of the brand. BFG KO2 weighs the same. If you get them in stock size, I think the increase in weight is...
I looked into that, but it's only a 4% difference in circumference. Actual fuel economy is definitely better than displayed, but only by a few percent, and wouldn't cause a loss of 6 mpg or so imo
