Just saw on your insta that you got the level kit up front. How do you like them? I'm worried about ride quality and the fact that articulation isn't increased off road.
That was one of the big reasons why I went with the 17's on my truck - more tire sizes for aggressive off road tires and more sidewall = better for airing down. The Grabbers are great too! Although I don't have experience with the Duratracs, something about them doesn't seem appealing to me...
Not OP, but I have a fair amount of experience with the stock tires and also the Falkens that I upgraded to.
The stock tires are great for on-road - quiet, comfortable, good fuel economy. Off-road, they're simply not aggressive enough. They clog with mud super easily, don't clear mud with...
I've had SYNC freezing issues in the past upon start up. Resetting SYNC by holding the next track button and power button for a few seconds help temporarily solve the issue. I took it a dealer to get a reflash and I haven't had any issues since.
You'll need spacers, the 265's are already VERY close to the spindle (less than a 1/4") so the sidewall will definitely be rubbing. You will also probably rub at the fenders under full lock too.
Phil, why would the cab configuration change the driveshaft? Only one frame is used for either configuration so wouldn't the driveshaft stay the same length?
I think I know what you are talking about. It doesn't happen very often in my truck (maybe once every few weeks?), but sometimes there is a clunk that comes from the rear when coming to the stop.
I want to say it has something to do with the torque converter locking/unlocking when coming to a...
Nah, you'd need separate routing for intake if you wanted to do that. The exhaust side of the turbo is going to spin no matter what you do so you're going to need some other intake routing to bypass the intake side of the turbo.
Looking at the maintenance schedule though, it looks to be very very basic. Just typical consumables for tens of thousands of miles.
If you have any sort of wrenching experience and able to DIY changing the consumables, it's very easy to do at home.
What's your story? I've never bought a RC product so I don't have any personal experience with them. Just internet stories, enough to make me avoid them lol
Sweet! The flush look is perfect. So 1.5 in spacers bolt directly to the hub using stock studs? I don't have a lift but I've gone up one tire size, so it fits the wheel well much better, but I still don't like how the front tires looked "sucked" in when viewed from the front. 1 - 1.5 in spacers...
Doesn't seem quite the most scientific test... Especially between different people and different vehicles - the amount of oscillation that you can achieve before letting go is totally dependent on one's strength/leverage and the mass of the vehicle. These kinds of parking lot tests are only...
Sounds like a good purchase to me!
The 10-speed is in fact very busy and inherently will be shifting often. However, you shouldn't be feeling every single shift. During slow acceleration, the transmission will skip a gear and since the ratio is pretty far apart, you can usually feel the shift...
Someone here mentioned that the NA Ranger is more susceptible to water damage compared to the ROTW Ranger because the alternator is placed lower in the engine bay. The AU promo video boasts their high alternator placement, but since the 2.3 was originally designed for other vehicles, the...
I had similar issues when I first got my truck. Holding down the power button and next track button reboots the Sync system and helped alleviate the issue. However, it didn't prevent the freeze up so I took it to the dealer. Dealer did a reflash and haven't had an issue since.
