I agree with everything you say here. I was skeptical about a 4 banger until i drove it. Who knew it would feel so torquey. It is a different approach by Ford. They do a half way decent job of marketing the truck itself as compared to initial model year Colorado's. It was obvious GM did not want...
Went by the local yard on my way home from work I saw a Magnetic Supercab STX driving down the ramp perhaps my XLT's travelling companion. Did not have time to watch them unload the whole group.
"I like the Colorado, don’t get me wrong. Drooling over a ZR2 is what made me want to get back into a truck (a mid-size specifically). I’m sure it’s dependable and does what it’s supposed to. But I wasn’t that impressed with the interior. Plus now that the Ranger is an option, I just like how it...
Waiting on my Ranger. Colorado is a fine truck. Test driving the Ranger on a couple of occasions it felt more inherently like a truck than the collie does, better view over front of hood for instance. I like that a lot! Anyone try to tell you the Colorado is not a competent truck is full of you...
The "over priced" claim has resonated with people. In the limited mentions to others that I am getting a Ranger. Over priced has been consistent. and are among the first comments that I hear and that I expect to hear in the future. The over pried claim is widespread here in dead center truck...
In the same boat will come out of a 2015 Colorado WT. I could not believe the written trade in offer for my Colorado. Now they just need to honor it when my Ranger arrives.
Holy crap. I question if the 1" taller and the 100# heavier are even material to this situation except for denying the claim. If that is the case the Colorado's out there are running around with very little upside capacity.
Because I have a Diesel in the family, I feel free to buy a Ranger. When I need to tow regardless of the max tow rate is, the diesel will do the towing.
Some of the annoyances described are overstated, in my experience the baby duramax is a pleasure to own.
Ya i screwed it up!
Diesel 1000 miles / 26.6 mpg = 37.59 gallons x 3.19 per gallon = 119.91
Gas 1000 miles / 21 mpg = 47.61 gallons x 2.37 per gallon = 112.83
Difference 7.08 savings over 1000 miles = $708 at 100,000 miles and $1062 at 150,000 with timing belt replacement due.
At...
Difference in cost per mile driven is roughly .06 in favor of the diesel that is $6000 over 100,000 miles. Higher maintenance cost: timing belt replacement is recommended at 150,000 your up $9000 or more in fuel savings at this point. Your well ahead.
Do not forget resale value is higher for a...
Some valid points. I would add that the regen reduces mpg for about the distance it would take to burn a gallon of fuel no loss of power. Now that the fear mongering i read about the regen drama has left my brain i do not even notice it when it happens. Diesel and gas prices may trend closer and...
