  1. Aftermarket engine cover

Low as I usually am guilty of under torquing. Habit left over from working on scientific testing equipment and electronics. The first bolt in the front actually came loose and I lost it on the highway lol. You might be on to something with the vibrations. Could also be low quality material. I...
  2. Spark plug gap 2019 ranger

Had signs of bad spark plugs over the past week. Pulled out the NGKs after about 40k miles. All of them had the gap increased from .03 to .035. They looked worn but much better than the stock ones. I decided to just replace them with the NGK 90495 and I gapped those to .028/.029. So far so good...
  3. Aftermarket engine cover

Well better late than never. I told a few members awhile back I’d post updates on the aftermarket engine cover and well…… it’s already broken…. From just sitting in the engine bay…. Yeah….. silver lining it definitely helped keep water away from the plugs.
  4. 4wd L vs 4wd H

    Ice low everything else hi
  5. LED fog light bulb install Tremor

I will say in snow the yellow is so much better than the stock clear. LED vs. Halogen….. look I’ve gone both routes and can say I prefer whatever comes stock on the truck. If you want LED, do a full conversion. The ancient Hawaiians had a saying: Don’t half ass anything, full ass everything...
  6. CONSOLE VAULT No. 1089

Full size Glock fits but again the sides are plastic.
  7. LED fog light bulb install Tremor

Easiest to go through the front. Just crawl under and you can reach them. Just wait til you break a glass lens on the stock fog lights. God that was terrible. I put the yellow plastic Chinese ones in. FYI use zip ties if you do this fix for an easier time in the future.
  8. CONSOLE VAULT No. 1089

I have the three code one. Great for simple locks but please remember as a responsible gun owner. The sides are only plastic.
  9. Lease ending in June 2024 - thoughts on what to do next?

I would NOT buy it. If leasing works for you and you can stay under the mileage limits. Just lease a new one. Also if you truly wanted it, you wouldn’t ask us for our opinion. There’s something there keeping you from buying it outside the lease. I used to do this a lot. Get the next gen or a 150...
  10. Dreaded noisy fan

Wait this is seriously a complaint???? Da fuuuuuuhhhhk? I understand the tranny issues and drivetrain issues being complaints but a truck sounding like a truck??? Y’all looking mighty hard for more issues. I love the loud, roaring sound my ranger makes in the cold. Every time people say damn...
  11. Anyone say, I should have purchased a different truck?

Any vehicle is going to have issues. I have a love/hate relationship with my danger ranger. At the end of the day, yeah I wish I had the money to jump to a 5.0 F150 at the time but I also broke the 100k mark with minimal major issues. Everyone has the grass is greener and I am sure some on here...
  12. With an engine cover really prevent water in the spark plugs?

Mine cracked near the front screw. Also use thread locker on the screws. I used semi perm. (Orange)

You don’t spend your weekends at the ISS as well? I thought everyone did
  14. With an engine cover really prevent water in the spark plugs?

I can confirm, the aftermarket one does prevent the water from getting on the plugs. I park mine on a slant so it goes down the side. I’ll post a pic later
  15. I have joined the 100k miles club

I bought the aftermarket metal one people have posted on here. It is doing the job of protecting from water for sure…. Unfortunately it also already snapped near the front bolt…..
  16. I have joined the 100k miles club

Shuddering, hard shifts between 3 and 4 with over revving at times. So far the only fix that has held longer than 5k miles has been the full tranny flush. I’ve tended to never do a flush as I was worried the smaller particles would get stuck in other areas of the tranny. Seeing the difference...

Foothills of California so no salt….

The rear axle shaft started to break apart. They think it started with the rear wheel speed sensor and the baring it uses to read the speed. If your truck is eating the speed sensors, have ford look at the axle. Might save the $1000 repair bill
