Just a side note, I took mine out and swapped for a spray in. You'll need new tailgate screws when you get the tailgate sprayed proving your dealer didn'tsave the originals. The screws for the tailgate drop in do not have built in washers. Also the drop in liner piece has 8 screws so you'll have...
Finally got to trading the free drop in liner for Rhino Liner. Now if it wouldn't rain for the next week I can reinstall my Gator EFX. Don't mind my makeshift hardware on the tailgate. The proper hardware is on order from Ford since the dealer threw away the original and used the bedliner set...
Honestly I feel like everyday I come home from school (since it's all highway travel) I'm finding more chips. The paint on this truck seems so thin and fragile. I also had the truck paint protection applied from the dealer. It's ridiculous if you ask me. My 2006 Ranger right before my trade in...
Ripped out the drop in liner today and took off the trifold so I can get Rhino liner sprayed Thursday. I was initially going to do LineX but they wanted $700 for the premium. Rhino liner wanted $500 and my dealership sends their trucks there anyways. Either way I don't put much in the bed that...
I wait for the truck to idle down then go. Unless it's really cold out like the teens, then I let it get warm. Usually for me, the colder it is, the longer the truck takes to idle down so I can get it warm pretty quick while idling down.
I've had mine since March and I couldn't be any happier with my purchase. I had a 2006 Ranger before and grew up with Rangers my entire life. This 5G is by far my favorite and still brings a smile to my face everyday.
Just when you get back in a Ranger you now have to deal with the seats. I'm would be worried about the replacements and how they are being made. There's something during production causing the poor quality of seats. I'd like my drivers seat to get looked at but I'm afraid to see the...
Thanks for the info Phil! My seat is hardly noticeable and only on the portion of the seat where your rear end sits on. It's not really bubbly. Nothing I can complain about. I suppose on the bright side that I have more play in my seat to reduce the possibility of ripping?
Same with my drivers seat. It's nothing to complain about and I don't have passengers enough so I can't tell if it's just from normal sitting down on the chair. Mine was built December 2018.
Awesome! I was looking at a Porter Cable. I've never had a problem with any of their other tools. I think it's finally time to learn how to polish using a machine instead of by hand. The results are night and day between the two.
Anyone know of a good brand for a beginner's buffer/polisher? I normally do it by hand but need to step it up. Looking for something electric and variable speed.
I bought mine after I got my first rock chip and was so eager to open it, that I happened to open the clearcoat portion upside down. I believe I paid $18 and change after tax from my dealer.
Well I was able to get it out with some leather cleaner and scraping it with my fingernail. It was only a small spot, probably no bigger than 1/4 inch. Lesson learned: Don't play with touch up paint inside the truck
Well I didn't get any pictures but I was able to get it off. Scraped it with the nail of my finger and some elbow grease with Meguiars Leather cleaner. Good as new!
So like an idiot, I was screwing around with my touch up pen from ford and I accidentally spilled some clearcoat on the lariat "leather" seats. Any suggestions to get it off without ruining the seat? If I wasn't in class I would try to clean it right now...ugh I question some of the things I do.
