Update on my 2020 XLT coming to the time to do the initial oil change in August. No change in driving habits, still short 8km daily drives, auto start/stop off, occasionally couple of hour drive once a month and not every month. Truck has just shy on 4000km (2500mi) on it. No system...
This is the same for the GM 9 speed transaxle. During development of the joint GM/Ford design, you had to be going over 90 mph, downhill with no driver input. For this reason Ford dropped the high gear and only have a 8 speed design.
That is interesting, the training of the TPMS system allows for 4 sensor IDs to be logged into the computer. When a programming tool is used you can not have another sensor within 3 feet, like another vehicle parked close. Did this issue happen before the spare was changed? Also did you remove...
Usually the spare doesn’t have a sensor installed from the factory. Not real clear in the owners manual but it does say the dash light will be on when using the spare. Which indicates to me that the spare doesn’t have one or the system would read it. This system seems to be able to train itself...
Just a FYI on TPMS batteries they once said 10 years before they would need replacement but i have seen this spec drop to 5 years based on environment (salt and humidity). The problem is OEM make a type of sensor for a few years. When you go and replace the failed sensor the stock is pretty much...
Just wanted to give my update to my previous post #793. Daily drive has not changed about 8km (5mi), disabled auto start/stop. Last long drive was in September about 400km, which brought the oil level to about 1/8in above top hole. This time the oil level was at the top of the twist. Ran highway...
The o ring was reinstalled, since it binds before the o ring touches the filler neck. I have not inserted anything that would have damaged it. I just find it insanely snug. Might buy a replacement to see if it is the same.
Anybody found a easy way to loosen up the oil filler cap? I have sanded the OD and even removed the o-ring to see if it would help but no real improvement. I use soft max Channelocks to release the cap but still need to rock the cap back and forth to get it to release. Going back in is worse...
This is very similar to my experience. Received my 2020 XLT in mid August (February build). Wife only does daily short drives which really doesn’t get the engine hot. In late September after reading this I checked the oil for the first time. Mileage was just over 600km (400 miles). Oil level was...
