  1. What's actually under the rear seat?

The driver's side bin is smaller because the fuel tank is there. You can crawl under your truck and confirm that. Which means the body sheet metal is like that as well. The tunnel is for the transmission/transfer case. You might be able to get a bit of space (I don't know for a fact that is)...
  2. Puddle light replacement

Nah, if I get them, I'm going to get the size 1 then. I really like how it just shows the blue oval, it looks chinsy / cheezy to me to have the blue oval in the middle of a puddle light. To each their own for what they like, but I highly prefer the aesthetic that you chose and wanted to make...
  3. Puddle light replacement

Those look great. Are they size 1 or size 2?
  4. Why did you pick Ranger

For me it was a bit different of a story. I knew I was getting a Ford, but the question was which one. I currently have a 2013 Escape with 109k miles, and I've started to notice a few things that are "off" with it, so I don't have full faith in driving it 1500+ miles for our family vacations...
  5. Ford Introduces Black Appearance Package On All-New Ranger, Available 03/19

I think the reason for it is that the Saber is currently only available with the Sport Appearance Package. As such, there are no Saber colored bumpers at MAP. The BAP uses color keyed bumpers, which aren't available with Saber, ergo, BAP is not available with Saber :(. Side Note: I did...
  6. Leather Seating - How much is actually Leather?

I would love to buy a King Ranch, but Ford doesn't offer one in the Ranger. So I ordered a Lariat. *shrug* At the end of the day, the truck is about 10-15k cheaper than I was planning on spending on an F-150 Platinum because Ford doesn't offer me a more expensive choice of Ranger.
  7. Running tally of VIN #, order date and build date by Ranger5G member (2019 MY)

Just got my VIN today! I ordered it on April 9th, got the VIN today (58911) with a build week of June 17th, and an eta delivery window of Jun 28th - Jul 4th. I really hope that schedule holds, as I have a family vacation kicking off on July 12th that I would love to have the new truck for.
  8. Sync stereo

I did not. I assumed that it was all at factory +0 settings as I was the first one to drive it (6mi and plastic still in the seating area that the dealer removed before I was able to drive it).
  9. Tailgate Letters

Thanks so much for that front picture! I've been agonizing over what to do with the grille... I figured there was no way that the letters would be close enough to look good, and wasn't thrilled with the appearance of the black on magnetic. But that looks great! I no longer fear ordering them...
  10. Sync stereo

I test drove an XLT crewcab the other day with the base stereo system, and I was rather disappointed. It came across very flat and blah. I'm happy that I'm going to be getting the B&O system as I would be actively upset with the base system.
  11. Aftermarket Bed/roof rack system

Note that Yakima also came out with the Outpost HD (instead of the Overhaul HD) that sits at 13'' instead of 19-30'' of the Overhaul. From my calculations, the cab is 18'' taller than the bed, so it would give you 5'' for your tent to keep it completely out of the wind. It doesn't help with...
  12. Ranger’s first day at the beach :)

Where did you get those decals from? I've seen that Ranger logo on Etsy and was planning on picking one up (pulling the FX4 and placing it there), but I haven't stumbled across those body stripes yet - they look great, especially in the same theme as the Ranger one.
  13. PandaMotorWorks Tailgate Damper

    +1 here.
  14. It's Time for a Road Trip

Yes - more deets on the rack and cover. I'm planning on the same Overhaul (but for Kayaks) HD system, but I was thinking about the OEM retractable cover. What was the decision to go with Embark over Retrax?
  15. Spray In , Drop In, Factory Which bed are you?

Going with factory paint and the OEM bedmat. I'd want the bed mat anyways to help keep things in place, and I figured if I end up banging up the bed, I'll add a spray in later. But its primary use is as a DD and a weekend warrior, so I shouldn't have much of a concern with beating up the bed.
  16. Ford Introduces Black Appearance Package On All-New Ranger, Available 03/19

Thanks for the heads up. I'm only a couple of weeks away from ordering mine, and I'm not going to lie - I think I like the black appearance more than the sport appearance. Except that C&D article doesn't show it in Saber, and I can't seem to find it on ford.com's build & configure tool yet.
  17. Bike Rack & Tonneau Covers

So I've done a lot of research into tonneau covers & racks. There's not much out there that works - a few ladder rack things go through stake pockets that could potentially be used. But the main thing seems to be to get a cover that's compatible with putting some sort of T slot rail on the...
  18. Pros/Cons of Ford Co-Pilot360 Smart Tech in the 2019 Ranger

Yup, that's exactly what I was getting at. I would argue that's a gray area - fundamental right to travel, as portrayed there, doesn't necessarily align with fundamental right to access the road. But this is a forum for our beloved Ranger, not politics.
  19. Pros/Cons of Ford Co-Pilot360 Smart Tech in the 2019 Ranger

Seems like you're having the same issue as we do with our 2nd amendment rights. No one wants to support gun violence when they advocate for their rights to bear arms, but by standing by your fundamental rights, you "side" with violence. And if you side with restricting rights, your leading...
  20. Yakima hD overhaul installed

    Is that the minimum height?
