  1. Does This Warrant Buyback (Replacement)

You may be on to something, except i do have a damper................hmm, the fuel in oil issue definitely started sometime after installing the damper?
  2. Does This Warrant Buyback (Replacement)

Well, the dealer is 20+ miles away from my home and 42+ miles away from where I work. Can't go there everyday, but I do call them quite a bit.
  3. Does This Warrant Buyback (Replacement)

The dealer has told me that the 2.3L for the Ranger is not available as a replacement.
  4. Does This Warrant Buyback (Replacement)

I have not told the dealership, although when i was there Wednesday for them to verify the AC issue for warranty, they wanted to wait to schedule the service as they suspected Ford may initiate the buyback. Yesterday is when the Specialist contacted me and recommended that I take the truck to a...
  5. Does This Warrant Buyback (Replacement)

Well, I went and sent off an email to the Ford Customer Specialist I have been working with, requesting a buyback. I got a quick email reply: "I will contact you concerning the next steps. Please make sure that the vehicle is at the dealership before the buyback is processed. Thank you for...
  6. Does This Warrant Buyback (Replacement)

Well it was in a total of 7 times and 4 times were scheduled for them to repair it. The first visit was the initial visit to change oil and mark the dipstick. The 2nd and 4th visits were to diagnose (ran tests inspected HPFP), the remaining visits were all scheduled for them to fix even though...
  7. Does This Warrant Buyback (Replacement)

Oh, and I have not had AC since the dealership replaced the injectors and HPFP the first time back in May. The timing may have been just a coincidence and the AC issue may not have resulted from anything the dealer did, but I have not had AC all summer. I actually just got that approved for...
  8. Does This Warrant Buyback (Replacement)

I was hoping that I could do it right thru Ford and not have to Lawyer up?
  9. Does This Warrant Buyback (Replacement)

The requirement below is what I am worried about: "One of the following happened during the vehicle’s first year and before the warranty expired:" I bought the truck 4-03-2020 and the problem started 3-22-2020, but the Covid thing was just ramping up here and the dealer could not get me in...
  10. Does This Warrant Buyback (Replacement)

As some of you know, from the Fuel in Oil thread, I have been having issues with my truck regarding fuel in the oil. I have been dealing with the dealers service department for over 6 months, 7 appointments, 29 days down time at dealer, 15 days down time at home, and they have replaced the...
  11. Fuel in oil

It seems most people have had this issue resolved with injectors or HPFP replacement, or both. I have been dealing with this issue for the past 6 months without resolve, but I believe my truck is an outlier and not the norm. I certainly do not believe it is a widespread issue, but if your truck...
  12. Fuel in oil

After replacing the injectors a 2nd time, my oil level was creeping up every day and was 1/4in above the max hole after 300 miles (about a week). At that time I tried contacting Ford Customer service, but my rep has gone missing in action. For the past week and a half, I have left her several...
  13. Fuel in oil

My truck is the opposite. the first 11.000+ miles, the oil level never went up, not even a little bit. After that, the flood gates opened.
  14. Fuel in oil

Thanks for the info, yes it says the viscosity is below the specified limits, but I am assuming that if the wear metals are low, it has not harmed the engine yet? I sure wish Ford could diagnose the cause in my case. Unfortunately, the Ford Customer rep told me that if it wasn't fixed this...
  15. Fuel in oil

The service department at the dealership that worked on mine actually took samples for both of the oil tests done for my truck, they sent it out and paid for it. As for the limp mode issue, that seems pretty common, my truck has done the same thing twice in the past where it cycled thru what...
  16. Fuel in oil

That is exactly how I check mine, every morning after it has sat overnight, parked in the same spot in my garage. It's actually very easy to tell when it is diluted badly as you have to have the rag handy to catch all the oil drips as it just flows off the dipstick when it's diluted badly.
  17. Fuel in oil

Update, I picked the truck up this past Thursday. They replaced all 4 injectors for a second time and the service report indicated they had done both a compression and a leak down test as well as inspected the HPFP, which was replaced this past May. The tests all came back within spec and Ford...
  18. 2019 Ranger prone to fuel making its.way into oil?

If people are worried about 2.8%, I should be very worried. I had 2 samples taken by the dealership, one at about 480 miles after they first changed the oil when I took it in for the issue originally, and that one came back at 12%, the 2nd sample they took at 1700 miles after they changed the...
  19. Fuel in oil

Truck is still in the shop, I was told the injectors were on backorder and that they just came in and now a gasket they need is on backorder. I asked what the gasket was for, but the service writer did not know. He said they were tracking one down from another dealership.
