Backing up may be necessary for your adventure. Many Youtube vids, this one is a simp[le starter:
Backing up trailer
Give extra clearance while turning corners and make backing up movements and speed SLOW.
My rear leafs looked like that, slight twist out of alignment.
Had service check it out when in for an oil change. Was told it looked "normal"...
So, I loosened the U-bolts and straightened them myself.
Sure enough, they are back to the same position as before...
Guess not a big problem.
Always use parking brake, hill or not.
Also placed half a tennis ball on the garage door strategic to the front bumper so as to prevent the garage door from scratching the car in the event. of close encounters of the $hit kind.
That makes sense! Was just sharing how I beat up the bottom of my hitch when hitting departure angle limits!
Q: How is the bumper secured/mounted at the rear wheel well?
Gotta agree that the partial curved design of the transfer case skid plate looks inadequate for hardcore rock crawling. I scrape my underbelly often but not on very jagged rocks. If I saw a good deal on a better plate I would go for it.
So NO ONE is changing the Damper Oil?!?! Gonna be a rash of tailgate failures soon...
Note: Was just curious about my dif oil level at 30K, found it at least 8 ounces low! I know Ford was notorious on low levels of washer fluid, but scary with low dif oil, I tow a TT.
One: the front of my 2021 XLT stock running boards do a great job of blocking mud and dirt from the front tires from hitting the rocker panels and doors
Two: they act as de facto rock sliders.
I was driving off road trails in Joshua Tree couple weeks ago, and high centered on a rock on Berdoo...
Friday yet?:
Not sure this YT shows your same problem, but it shows something similar to a Jeep's heated side mirrors I think.
Jeep heated mirror fix
At least an education on the construction I learned!
Good luck!
