I installed the P3 and have about 5700 miles of towing on it. Trailer is about 6000 pounds. Never had any issue, the P3 works well.
EDIT: Now have 9,300 miles, over 8,000 towing. Absolutely NO problems with the P3.
I got the "base" but added the tow package and the 101A package to get the cruse control and remote locking tailgate (with the key thing). I am very happy with my Ranger. Tow a cargo trailer long distances with an average trailer weight of 5,000 pounds.
Does anyone know how to set the DATE on the display?
Here are some pictures, but no place to set the date.
Today is August 1 and the display shows Aug 2. I think it has always been a day ahead.

I am on my way home from a 3,000 mile trip. The Ranger has absolutely NO difficulty maintaining any speed I have set (up to 70) pulling about 5000 pounds. The "drag" from my large frontal area has the greatest effect on fuel use. I can see the difference from 60 to 65 mph on the fuel used. Up...
I believe that everybody gets the "Trailer Sway feature" since it will help even with a bumper hitch.
The 'Tow package" includes two items: a Class IV hitch and the 7-pin connector (with 4-pin also as part of the receptacle).
Two items:
First, how come you only have the 4-pin plug? The 7-pin comes with the tow package.
Second, talking about the 12-volt pin on the 7-pin plug, I believe that the Ranger has to detect a trailer before it energizes that 12-volt pin. I learned this the "hard way" but now I know. You CAN...
