  1. License Plate Screws Rub When Opening Tailgate

I detected the same issue and removed the frame.
  2. 8492 - 2019 Ranger - Trailer Brake Controller Availability

I installed the P3 and have about 5700 miles of towing on it. Trailer is about 6000 pounds. Never had any issue, the P3 works well. EDIT: Now have 9,300 miles, over 8,000 towing. Absolutely NO problems with the P3.
  3. Putting Gas in the Ranger

In new Jersey you can not pump your own gas either.
  4. 4.2” productivity screen doesn’t display Sirius Song

I also need to contact them about the incorrect date on the display issue.
  5. Base model with no cruise

I got the "base" but added the tow package and the 101A package to get the cruse control and remote locking tailgate (with the key thing). I am very happy with my Ranger. Tow a cargo trailer long distances with an average trailer weight of 5,000 pounds.
  6. Trailer Tow Package Does Contain 4 Wires for Aftermarket Brake Controller Install

One additional comment. The wires are relatively short, so you need to really get in there to make the connections.
  7. RDT (Ranger Daylight Time)?

Mine does NOT set to GPS time. I have crossed time zones and re-set it manually.
  8. Setting the DATE on the display

Does anyone know how to set the DATE on the display? Here are some pictures, but no place to set the date. Today is August 1 and the display shows Aug 2. I think it has always been a day ahead.
  9. 2019 Ranger MPGs

It has been my experience that for my driving style, the octane has very little effect on mpg. It DOES have a BIG effect on maximum power. But in normal driving without the trailer, I seldom run above 1800 rpm, so low boost. I can tell the increased power when towing. Without, I use "regular"...
  10. Max Range

With my 2011 Taurus, I get about 520 miles on the highway (30 to 32 mpg).
  11. Max Range

Pulling my trailer, about 240 miles at 65 mph. The mileage is VERY speed sensitive with my trailer because of the large frontal area.
  12. Auxiliary Power Points

They stay on for about 2 hours after you turn the ignition switch OFF.
  13. LED Bed Lights

The switch came with the lights. I mounted it just inside the tail gate, high on the side. I have a cover, so no water issues.
  14. What are you guys towing?

I am on my way home from a 3,000 mile trip. The Ranger has absolutely NO difficulty maintaining any speed I have set (up to 70) pulling about 5000 pounds. The "drag" from my large frontal area has the greatest effect on fuel use. I can see the difference from 60 to 65 mph on the fuel used. Up...
  15. Trailer Battery charge line?

I believe that everybody gets the "Trailer Sway feature" since it will help even with a bumper hitch. The 'Tow package" includes two items: a Class IV hitch and the 7-pin connector (with 4-pin also as part of the receptacle).
  16. Trailer Battery charge line?

Right. That is all handled by the ranger systems.
  17. Tailgate step?

I am getting quite old. I have had this step ladder a long time. The top step just happens to be level with the tailgate.
  18. Will buy 2019 Ranger tomorrow, what do you wish you knew prior to buying?

My dealer actually had the correct PSI and the washer fluid was full.
  19. Trailer Battery charge line?

Two items: First, how come you only have the 4-pin plug? The 7-pin comes with the tow package. Second, talking about the 12-volt pin on the 7-pin plug, I believe that the Ranger has to detect a trailer before it energizes that 12-volt pin. I learned this the "hard way" but now I know. You CAN...
