Really unfortunate to hear that just the downpipe increased the sound too much that it needed to be removed. I really like how quiet mine is currently when towing. Iād be willing to add a bit of noise for a noticeable increase in power, but too much would be unacceptable on my part.
Depends on the wind resistance of the trailer. With the Flat deck car hauler, it didnāt even blink an eye. Towed my ā76 camper (2800lbs), but itās basically a sail, and it was full throttle to go up a 6% grade, 5th gear, and water temp climbing (220F is when I let off and slowed down).
Direct injection gasoline vehicles seem to all have a high amount of oil dilution when measured by independent oil analysts. Makes it important to always use a high quality oil.
I should note I varied between 7 and 8th gear, as thatās where the best fuel economy and least amount of boost was used. Left to its own devices, it wanted 10th gear, but I felt the RPMs were too low. Running 91 octane (highest available here)
Could one clearance the under hood insulation to allow figment?
Kinda disappointed in the fitment quality shown in the pictures. Youād think there would have been a bit more effort put in
Made a few trips back and forth to the racetrack with a 16ā flat deck car hauler with race car on it. Scale says trailer is 4000lbs. Was a little spongy in the back without the WD hitch. Set the WD hitch, and it was much better. Power is adequate but you certainly know the trailer is there when...
I had a similar problem with mine towing a car trailer. I ordered a larger drop hitch for my WD hitch in hopes that itāll help.
Hellwig is supposed to be releasing a sway bar for the rear of the truck and I imagine thatāll help you out a lot
Got my Leer cap installed today. Fit and finish is really nice, and had a lot of standard features that were optional extras on the ARE. Was just over three weeks of wait for it to show up.
Itās not really a ānewā engine, as it shares a lot of the same components with other 2.3 ecoboost platforms. Realistically how often do you drive at 10/10ths of the engines capability? Did ford even engineer it to operate at 10/10 under factory conditions? I doubt youāll get an answer, but these...
The old saying is the candle that burns twice as bright, burns twice as fast.
Anyone who can give you a better answer than āit dependsā, either doesnāt know, doesnāt understand, or is lying to you. It depends how much risk you want to assume.
One assumes that when being engineered, Ford took...
