I'm guessing you have an aftermarket tune already, so did you have to have a tune revision after installing this, or did the computer/tune adjust enough because of already having other aftermarket intakes? Very impressed with the design and workmanship with this. Thank you for answering these...
@Loweredon33s, do you think the increased volume of air gained with your intake outweighs your higher increase in IAT's let's say, over the stock intake?
Every vehicle I've owned had an American Flag sticker somewhere on it, including my Ranger. And of course the flag out front, illuminated every night of course.
Took it out for a little spin on a back road. The transmission DEFINITELY shifts differently. Crisper, but not harsh. When you're somewhat laying into it each gear revs longer before shifting, and then it's not harsh either. Doesn't skip gears or bog down when you get on it in a higher gear. I...
Okay Crow, I'll let ya know. I thought the same thing as well for a while, but the process was pretty easy. Yes, sh*t happens, but I made sure each step was followed closely and didn't touch ANYTHING while I was in the truck during the tune-loading process.
Well I did start it after the tune was loaded and everything was okay. It's this pesky work stuff that is getting in the way of taking it for a spin. Gotta do something about that . . . . .
Well, after making sure my battery was up to full power and disconnecting my battery tender, the tune loaded up with no issues whatsoever. The procedure moved along quickly, taking only about 10-15 minutes. The truck did some strange things which almost made me sh*t my britches, but was over...
Finally bit the bullet and purchased one tune from Unleashed. I didn't want to be switching back and forth between tunes. I don't really think the truck needs more power, it's just that I can't keep my hands off things, and I always try to improve efficiency and power to my vehicles without...
I don't have a Tremor, but I just installed Method MR 301's that are 17 x 8.5 with +25 offset and fit just fine (265/70 tires). May poke just a little bit.
No, these are the ATP's. The ones I just took off with the stock wheels were the ATS 3's. I just put the ATP's on today so can't really report anything yet. The ATS 3's ride pretty nice. I didn't need tires yet by far, or new wheels. But, . . .well, . . .you know how it is . . .
Time to update this thread with some bling. Just installed Eibach Sport Adjustables set at 1.5" with Method MR 301's and 265/70/17 tires from Joe @Discount Tire. They poke slightly, but the stance is perfect (for me). Just a slight bit of rake.
Got my new Method MR301 wheels and 265/70/17 tires installed along with my Eibach Sport adjustable shocks set at 1.5" of lift. I'm stylin', and stuff. Thanks Joe @Discount Tire. Just a slight rake, Which was what I was after.
I'd love to have a 5 or 6 speed manual in my Ranger. But the amount of money to have it done at a shop, or the amount of aggravation mixed with high volume abrasive language, thrown tools, busted garage windows, or other smashed items that went flying across the garage, it just isn't worth it...
