After having used the shift lever buttons on numerous occasions, I can't see the allure of paddles on our trucks. The buttons and paddles are more of a suggestion to the transmission than a command it seems. Does a trans tune fix that in manual mode I wonder?
Soooo if anyone in here hasn't looked at ford global fleet sales website, you're missing out. Plenty of rangers out there used at military trucks. Here's a PJ:
I actually did go to the rs forums and do some research and it looks like most people are saying 400ish peak torque is a "safe" limit. Hard to know for sure as I don't really enjoy getting analysis paralysis as much as I used to. Lol. I don't anticipate I will ever go big turbo on my truck...
Have you driven them yet? I think a lot of us did a lot of research before our purchase decision so my advice is to go drive one and scrutinize the ride, seating position, and infotainment. You may have already done so. If you like the way it rides and drives, then you can't go wrong. The Ranger...
Yeah mine sounds exactly like that video above on stock tune. I only run 93 octane. Only happens at partial throttle as well. Consistently in 7th gear, most often in the higher gears if it happens. I'm not loading the motor up or lugging at all. I'm honestly not worried about it since I'm under...
Do you have a video of this noise? Maybe it's something in the transmission? Can our mechanical fans contact anything? Maybe it's the fan hitting something.
I'm having an issue that sounds like predet but I'm now wondering if it isn't the transmission doing something weird. The noise never occurs at WOT and mostly only occurs in 7th gear. Who knows. Enjoy your truck!
Yeah I know what you mean. I'm not sure what KR number is acceptable on these. Sounds like you know a lot more than me on it so I'll drop out of this thread now lol.
A manual transmission!!! This is a midsize truck and only Tacoma still offers a manual, and does so on their top trim level. Give us a manual transmission Ford!!!!
Fair enough. My last comment may have been unreasonable. Either way, people who drive for work shouldn't be permitted to damage company or public/private property without recompense. The truck I saw was pretty beat up. I'm sure Amazon has a rigorous selection process for most jobs. I think...
Thanks man! I liked the CWP a lot. It had the TurboXS cat back on it. It became a little ridiculous once I was out of school but it sounded awesome under load.

I too emailed them and got the same response. I mean they offer one for a 2.3EB crate motor but not a truck selling 100s of thousands... Too bad. Had one in my Mazda and would choose no other option if it were available.
I was behind one of the delivery vans in the line at chic fil a today. Roof damage, rear doors had dents in them and a missing emblem, and driver side looked like the guy ran into a pole and part of the panel behind the door was completely missing. Looks like Amazon continues to have very high...
A close friend of mine's wife has a '19 green on java outback touring 3.6R. Absolutely decked out and loaded with safety features. It's really nice. I'd take that over another buddy's wife's bmw X3 ALL DAY. Loads of rear leg room too.
Used car prices are absurd. How rich do you have to be to...
