The hard tops were, very Mustang like, but the 4 door sedans also had the same styling through the front half. The panels were in fact interchangeable. The rear half of the 2 door hard top was unique.
The wide "hips" at the rear were to accommodate wide racing tyres, these cars were built when...
Well if they were the original 2 piece ones, you were lucky to get them off. I had to drive a six point socket onto one of mine when I replaced them with proper one piece jobbies.
A couple of my fellow board members were useless idiots, they were the biggest issue I had to deal with as they didn't have enough to do and attempted to unnecessarily create issues .
I've worked with some people like that, for some reason they just can't leave well enough alone, they have to...
Wow currently you have this: (What IS all that white stuff???)
And we have this: https://www.abc.net.au/news/2026-01-06/australia-heatwave-most-significant-in-six-years/106200088
Luckily we're far enough North to avoid the worst of it, it's actually quite cool here today for this time of year...
That's so true I was a keen photographer (most of my stuff is on 35mm slides) but compared to what you can do today, I still have by comparison precious few physical memories of those days.
However the up side is that there are also no permanent records of some of the "young male" stuff you...
That's actually a 74 or 75 model 2 door hardtop, they didn't start building them until 1973, 1970 models were all 4 doors. But yes they did share the same mustang like front clip as falcon sedans of the same vintage.
That's correct, Mustangs were available here but because they were imported as LHD and had to be converted by Ford, they were expensive, whereas they were able to build these coupes relatively easily and cheaply using the existing 4 door Falcon production line and bits. The only unique bits in...
Ha Ha that's the "Interceptor" version that they built for the Mad Max movie. It started such a craze back in the early 80's Eventually you could buy those bolt on kits aftermarket and build your own version.
I hate this, many years ago I used to own a Falcon 2door hard top.
Looked exactly like this one https://duckduckgo.com/?q=falcon+xb+hardtop&t=newext&atb=v272-1&ia=images&iax=images&iai=http%3A%2F%2Fcdn.justauto.com.au%2Fad-assets%2F77777--640%2Ffield_images%2F77777_640_1.jpg
I put it in to...
Ford were fined $10,000,000 by Consumer affairs in Aus for "unconscionable treatment" of owners over the dual clutch disaster. Basically for a long time they tried everything possible to wriggle out of warranty claims. In the end sales of Ford and particularly small ford cars tanked so badly...
Need to replace the roof console / sun glass holder, (will no longer lock up) and the four window trims that are literally crumbing, shitty materials, my son's Sana Fe that sits out in the same sun and is 5 years older has perfect window out side rubbers. Bit the bullet and ordered replacement...
Sadly that's going to be the same transmission with the same issues. Ford should have just kept making ZF copies under license. At least 6R80's were reliable and fairly tough.
Musso's are dirt cheap over here, really a bargain pickup (but quite well made) and quite highly rated by most of their owners, as long as you don't mind hanging around for spare parts.

Isn't the Ecoboost in the PHEV basically the same as the normal ranger one, just de-rated. Still it wasn't a common engine in the Ranger outside of NA. Maybe a 4 cylinder Mustang one would fit?
A six speed manual was a a factory optional fit over here. Maybe one of these guys (this is just one example) would ship the needed bits over there - PX Mk iii should bolt right in.
