Been stuck in its garage under-going multiple projects. Was time to get out and get some fresh air this afternoon before it went back in the cave for continued work.
I guess I need to pick one system to see what I can work with. Cargo light? Interior Light? Running lights? Basically any lighting system that comes on when you press the unlock button and/or open the door.
I want to look into tapping one of these systems to install some running board lights...
My go to company for vinyl lettering work for past couple of years either did one of the two (new name, etc etc).
1. They removed the option for the customer to weed and tape their own vinyl. This means the letters are cut out in the vinyl, but you supply your own masking tape to transfer and...
I was tooting around on S3M and being one not to laugh at myself I noticed I can use my Amazon account to make purchases from them. I figured once I went through the cart I would be directed to my Amazon account.
Based on the amount I could then choose 5% back, 6 months no interest, or 6...
Let's say I want to reduce an electrical line by half an amp which is about 60 watts is it really as simple as buying a 60 watt resistor to install online or am I missing something?
My rack lighting has a gremlin in it. I can activate all 12 perimeter lights with keyed power however when I...
Everything I am searching for plugs into the back of the actual radio unit. I am looking for a cable where one end screws onto the the antenna base of our fin and the other end accepts a standard style car antenna at whatever location I determine.
Total click bait title, but I got upgraded at work. So much better than having to scrunch down into a Dodge Charger. Way more roomy on the inside and lots of storage in the back for other fun stuff.
White (paint) privilege? :giggle:
@Glocker @Msfitoy @DukeCanBuildit
I've used the common little square ones with the "3M" backing for all the exterior wiring management on my rack. However over the summer I've learned they are not match for Georgia heat. It took time, but they have all about slowly fell off. I'm guessing the adhesive reaches a point on the...
Now this is strictly for in town, not sure how it would fair on open highways. So for past month or so I've been running a little test. Anytime I would run an errand or otherwise I would lock out to a maximum of gear 8.
I have thus increased my mileage by a half a mile per gallon. My commutes...
Tooting around town this evening a Tacoma was slightly ahead of me at the light and I thought his bed rack support and cross beams looked extremely detailed (design cuts, hollowed out points, etc etc) to be made of metal. Must of cost a fortune as all the components were square and solid, not...
Discovered this happening a couple days ago. I attempted over the past few days where we've had blistering sun to pop one of the Caps off the back see if I can get it to air out. It will clear out no problem but as soon as you reinstall a cap in short order if there's any humidity in the air it...
This will probably have the most impact on big stuff like racks, skid plates, and so forth.
In some industries aluminum (which is traditionally far more expensive) is actually becoming slightly lower in cost than steel. Wood is down 70%, but it appears it is metals turn to be inflated.
I still have plans to run a flat rope light along the outside edge below the planks, but its coming together slowly.
It ain't no @Glocker tier deck, but it will work for an amateur putz like myself.
As usual, the front end cosmetics just ruin the entire thing for me. A seemingly popular trend among manufacturers now a days.
Rear looks good. Interior looks good. Front end says, "Wait, thats it?"...
In this thread you tell me why I will or will not set my garage on fire;
Until I can arrange to have sub-paneling and underground power run from the house this is what I have purchased:
50 foot 12 gauge 15A extension cord run from an exterior GFCI outlet to reach the building which is roughly...
So here is what I will have work something up;
Bi-Parting (5 foot wide doors) 10 Foot Opening on and 18 foot wide wall. From my understanding I also need to add 4-6" of overall length on each side so the doors fully cover the opening. Lets make it easy and just work with 6" on each side. The...
I figure this would give everybody a good laugh. I had my tune installed for quite a few months now and it never dawned on me how it interacted with sport mode. So I sent an email off to five star and spoke to Aaron like I usually do and I said " Hey a-aron this is a dumb question what happens...
