I look forward to hearing more about the radio install as you go. I'm also planning a radio install and like the idea of putting the radio speaker inside the center speaker area that is currently empty in my XLT.
It is possible to treat your truck as both a valuable tool that needs to be taken care of, while also not obsessing about every scratch and dent. Just because one no longer obsesses about dents and scratches doesn't mean that they don't care or won't do anything about them. The first scratch...
Please repost on the center speaker install on your radio when you do it. I'm planning a HAM radio install this summer and the center speaker does sound like an elegant (if not inexpensive) way to do it. If you have part numbers or anything to share for the center speaker, please pass them on.
I've used Proclip mounts on at least 6 vehicles now and probably twice that many phones. They have all been very sturdy and fit good. The Ranger mount fits tighter than most I've had and is very sturdy as well. Located just below the screen, a phone would probably be in the way (just my...
Of course, it could be unmarked because it never made contact with the bolt it goes to. Doesn't mean your seat isn't going to fall off one day.
I have been a Ryobi fan for years and have a lot of their 18v tools. I'm also a big fan of the Milwaukee 12v line.
Anytime I'm looking for a tool, I try and look at cost, size and usage. If it's a tool that has real benefit to being smaller and lighter, I tend to go with Milwaukee. If it's a...
I have a Decked system in the back of my Ranger and used the two closest to the cab to relocate my lower tie-down upward. It fits, almost. I had to oval out both holes in the tie-down (maybe 1/16" each) to get the holes lined up. Re-installed and sprayed with some bed liner, you can't even...
03/08/2021 build date and black appearance package. No EcoBoost tag. Did have a dealer sticker (which I promptly removed with a hair dryer and some automotive goo gone.) Also had a "Northwest Edition" sticker, which I left, I kind of like that one.
I tend to get rather anti-social when I'm in programming mode. Probably would have been divorced and/or fired a long time ago if I had to do it more often. While it's hell early on, there is something about being able to say at the end that "I built that".
In my experience, you may need to shop around for the right Ford Service or Quicklane, and they are not necessarily the same.
For instance, if I'm getting a quicklane service, I take it to a dealership further away, because they are better at quicklane services.
If I am getting something fixed...
Took apart my dashboard on Sunday and installed a Tow Controller Mounting Panel in place of the left 12v socket in my dashboard, in preparation for today's install. I tucked the 12v socket behind the dash and used it to power my wireless charger, so it worked out.
I took my truck to Damerow...
Scrapes and scratches on bumpers and skid plates are just a sign that you're using your truck for what it's intended. I tend to road rage on people driving SUV's and trucks when they stop traffic waiting for someone to come out of a driveway, just so they don't have to driver over the curb...
It is my understanding that it will change the charging target to 90% only. The truck should only go into deep sleep when the voltage drops below a certain level. I changed mine to 90% a couple months ago due to deep sleep issues and it seems to have solved my problem.
So, if you remote start your car after a week and let it run until it auto-stops, would it extend the time before remote access shuts off? I kind of like the peace of mind I get from still being able to "talk" to my car, even if I'm away.
I used to live in San Diego, near Cowles Mountain (a popular hiking spot.) Street parking was available, mostly on a hill. The parking enforcement folks loved giving tickets to people parked and with their tires not turned correctly.
