Good lord. I some how forgot to mention the stickers. Yeah pretty bad, took me about a hour also. I used goo-gone and WD-40.
Your install looks great!
Seat of the pants tells me it rides a tick stiffer. I expected this. Don't haul much in the bed these days so I can't comment on that, yet. I really like the springs.
Good to hear you went with the upgraded shocks. If I didn't already buy the Eibachs (happy with) I might have done the same as...
It would be the perfect spot. But, just like you I’ve got the MM version sitting in my office waiting to install. The passenger side behind the bumper out of the way was the only spot that wasn’t an eyesore.
At first I did run the cord this way. Only problem was the three prong end of the cord looked too big and awkward. That end in your photo is much more streamline.
Believe it or not my mount position is pretty easy to get to.
The last part is a bit of a PITA. I ran the extension down past the radiator and around the frame. Then through the front past the ACC. Then over the frame and down in back of the bumper on the PS. And yes, zip tied it. Turned out very firm and out of the way. Done!
Ran the ground to the frame. I could just get the ground screw out. Had to flip the latch on the left though.
Direction say to mount it to the battery terminal but I wanted it to attach before the BMS sensor.
Don't put a lot of miles on the Ranger so this was long overdue. I think this unit was like $30 with a lot of good reviews. Spent a couple hours installing this NOCO BM. It's an onboard version, so this is where it ended up.
They provide a mounting bracket with screws but there isn't a ton of...
It does. Nothing in stock though.
$4K going that route. Would be nice though.
Believe I'm under $2K.
Question is, are those shocks $2K + better than the Eibach system? Idk
Just checked st3. They're still out of stock on the 3.1". Been that way for a while, too. I do see they have just added 3 of the 1.7"'s.
Where are you getting the 3.1's? The 1.7's might just work for you. Cheaper, too.
If you keep weight on them at all times you might be ok.
With 3.1" of added lift over stock they may over extend the 2.0's.
The Eibach's that I'm running allow 1-1 1/2" max over stock. This is running a fine line (OME 1.7")and will have to keep a close eye on them. So far so good.
I was also surprised there wasn't much to pull from.
Thanks for the heads up. I will keep a close eye out and go around the truck for sure with a torque wrench!
