It only applies to new 2024 ranger raptor,,,, nothing for the 2022. But thanks for the heads up. So disappointed in Ford. Just a crappy bed and a worse qaadrr
Fo
FORD told me warranty won’t cover it because I had a fiberglass , 53kg camper on it. Eidiculous
made homemade J braces and fixed the cracks. See how it holds up
Just an update for any curious 2022 owners. I pulled off my camper and found the rattle was in the corner where there is no support. Not even a weld. I could pull the entire panel off the bed with my hands
Thanks Cmar !!! Looks like they bolt right in to factory holes which is nice. Wish I knew if these before my bed has cracked on both sides with broken weld inside the wall !!! Hoping to get a set soon. Long way to Mexico and I see most for sale are in Aus. Thanks again !
True. And my bed was cracking 6 months before I had purchased my shell
My neighbor has never had a shell or rack and his has same crack ?? We live in Baja. Roads are washboards, potholes etc in many locations. However all the Tacoma’s and frontiers have no problem ? I’ve already talked 5 of...
Or give the buyer the option to have J braces. I never ever ever heard of J braces needed for a 100lb fiberglass shell. The payload is 1500 lb. I recommend to put nothing in your raptor bed. Such a shitty build for a production vehicle.
These would prevent the issue ?? Wow. A nearly impossible aftermarket install and never once did I think I would need J-brace supports on a $65k Ford Performance truck
Exactly. Unaware buyers galore. And not to mention if you spend 40-85k on a ranger (Ranger raptor) you think they may include J braces to avoid the customer base bashing there trucks as weak. Japanese trucks are built stronger than Ford. Fact. Sad day for sure
These Ranger Raptors were built in South Africa. The standard Ranger was built in Argentina. We alll live in Baja were the roads are rough. Hence why we buy trucks with Ford enhanced Baja mode and factory suspensions and $$$ warranties. Ford just doesn’t build a tough truck anymore...
