When I was looking for a mid-size 4x4 pickup truck in 2021, in the back of my head I knew Ford was making the Ranger again but I never gave them a thought as I hadn't seen any, was looking at the Colorado which just didn't click for me. Then my one brother (who sees a lot of trucks first hand...
I have a trip planned in the next couple weeks, so I want to get the new tires before that and not wait until Summer. Considering the Michelin Defender LTX MS2. My driving is 95% paved roads, occasionally in the hay fields to go out and check the hay dryness for baling once hay is cut, so I'm...
2021 XLT Crew, 25,579 miles. Just passed yearly inspection and I was told my Hankook tires (rotated every 5,000 miles) just barely passed and I better get new tires this Summer. Grrrrr Off to search the forum some more for tire recommendations!
I don't know if it's the beginning of an intermittent problem, but since I turned the headlight setting know to OFF then back to AUTO late yesterday, the ding ding chimes have stopped. BUT I could have swore before I had the chime problem start, that the headlights stayed on for those 20...
I had it on the Auto setting. I just went out and double checked in settings that I still had the delay set to 20 seconds and it was. I read one trouble shooting tip say to turn the head light knob to Off then back to Auto and it should reset, so I'm going to try that.
Have the original headlights on my 2021 Ranger. This past week, when I turn off the truck and put the key in my purse and exit the vehicle shutting the driver's side door, the ding ding ding chime keeps going off and I notice my headlights are staying on longer than the usual courtesy lighting...
Would they be a suitable tire for a regular 2021 XLT 4x4? When I had the Ranger in for the oil change about a month ago, the Ford Service department checked and commented on the tire depth and said to watch it because they will need to be replaced soon. Yea, the Hankook's look pretty worn for...

2021 Ranger XLT Crewcab
Central PA (no travel on dusty roads; mild Winters usually)
I have factory spray in liner with a rubber mat which helps keep things from sliding; plus I got one of those hook poles in case a light cardboard box or something slides forward because the truck bed is...
Yesterday around 2:45 p.m., I got in the truck (phone was with me which is paired with my Ranger) and couldn't get any radio audio (yes I checked it was ON and sound turned up). I had a message on the screen saying Searching for Satellite Signal. I had to drive about 4 miles before the sound...
The bottom piece you need is called a door "shroud". Cap dealers most likely won't have one in stock off hand since it's size/shape specific to each model truck, so it will probably need to be ordered.
Thanks for sharing. Unfortunately, doesn't look like something I could do myself. Not something I would ask my husband to do either at his age and health. I would have to find a shop that would do it.
Thanks for your reply! I think I will hold off until 30,000 miles. The only time I tow is maybe twice a year to go get a load of bulk sawdust for horse bedding. Daily driving is a 15 minute drive to work. Mostly secondary roads driving speed limit 40 mph until I hit the main rount one mile...
I will have to research to see what it looks like. So it is something I can install under the hood my self? Thanks for being patient with all my questions.
I did have the transmission fluid level checked when I had it in for an oil change last year (it was fine) and was told they drained a bit and it looked clean. Wonder if the Ford service department will give me a hard time if I ask them to put it on for me. No way can I even try to crawl under...
Oh I know the $400 didn't include the oil change or any other service. I'm wondering if the around $400 estimate was for just a "fluid change" vs. a "fluid flush".
