From my understanding, the difference with the high mileage versions is the addition of glycerin, or some other seal-swelling additive, to help prevent old seals from leaking. I found that unplugging both of the 6-switch FX4 connectors on the panel gave me just enough room to fit my hand in there. You only need to unplug one for the eliminator, but that helped.
