  1. Fires in California

Hey, I live in Massachusetts. I get it. It doesn't matter how much federal assistance your state gets, it's how the budget is managed. Both states are terrible fiscal managers that focus completely on the wrong priorities. That's why they are in debt.
  2. Fires in California

California has the 5th largest economy in the WORLD. To be trillions in debt points to absolutely nothing other than total, complete, gross mismanagement. There better be some serious caveats to the FEMA money. East Palestine and North Carolina are still waiting.
  3. What did you do to your Ranger today?

A forum member recommended these. They've worked out great. I still use one pop fastener at the top.
  4. What did you do to your Ranger today?

I changed my oil and filter after a 5K mile interval. The minder said I had 47% left. No thanks. I also installed the Valvomax. Whoever suggested I use magnets to close up the oil filter flap, thank you. It's working out great.
  5. Ranger Turbo Upgrade (Work Turbos)

I had a 93 tune in my GTI. Every once in a while, I'd hit the Mass Pike for some E85 and blend to E30. Talk about traction problems. Man, it was fun though. I'd enter an on ramp at 30mph, mash it, and I'd have to fight the wheel to keep it going straight. Good luck with your big turbo tune.
  6. Taking my '21 FX4 to dealer for possible transmission issue

How far did they go? It starts with a program update and ends with a new transmission. 1. Program update 2. Clean valve body 3. Replace valve body 4. Replace CDF drum 5. Replace transmission
  7. It happened again.

I live in a resort area and clean the tree belt about three times a year. The #1 thing they toss are nip bottles. I get around 20 per year, mostly during the offseason. That means it's the locals, not the tourists.
  8. Calling out Frenchy and his Variable Voltage Post

This whole shoot show was a simple misunderstanding or lack of acknowledgement of: a) Ohm's Law. b) that the BMS "battery terminal sensor" is just a shunt, and how shunts work. a) E=IR (Voltage = Current times Resistance) and P=EI (Power = Voltage times Current) b) A shunt measures current by...
  9. 11 MPG over 100+ Miles in 4WD on White Rim Trail, Canyonlands Utah

Starting and stopping kills your MPG.
  10. 2019 Ranger Lariat stuck in limp mode

When was the last time you replaced the DPFE sensor? If it's really messed up, I could see it causing random misfires, especially since yours are at low rpm's.
  11. Requesting good karma for first dealer service

Supposedly, they did, but I still have the problems. Clicking, and uneven distribution between sides.
  12. Taking my '21 FX4 to dealer for possible transmission issue

I believe that the root cause of these 10R80 issues are a) the adaptive learning programming and b) the pre-2022 CDF drum bushing issue. Both software and hardware.
  13. Installing 5 Star Tune Tomorrow - Revert changes from Forscan?

Did your Unleashed tune include the transmission rule changes? Taking out lug mode could explain reduced fuel mileage. So could enjoying your investment.
  14. Requesting good karma for first dealer service

The dealer took the truck and gave me a loaner Escape. They called a few hours later and said that they could not duplicate the issue and no codes were thrown. I told them to keep it overnight and try again when the truck is cold. They did that and still could not duplicate the issue. Every...
  15. Requesting good karma for first dealer service

My 2021 Lariat is going into a local dealer on Monday to fix the "clicking HVAC, poor distribution" issue. I have the Ford ESP and they are providing a rental. It has 35,000 miles on it and it does not emit one rattle, clunk, squeak, or creak while driving. I need it to be returned in this...
  16. Can we run E85 in our Rangers

In order to run E85, the engine will most likely need the HPFP and LPFP upgraded, and potentially the injectors as well, plus an E85 tune. If you run it in a stock motor, you will run lean under load and cause catastrophic damage. Even E30 needs at least a tune.
  17. Battery swap and truck memory

Technically, you are correct. From the charging/charger setting perspective, they are different. Use the appropriate setting on your charger.
  18. What did you do WITH your Ranger today?

Only if you buy them via their approved vendors. eBay doesn't count.
  19. Anyone replaced their front hubs yet?

When you changed out the brake pads, did you put the anti-rattle clips in the wrong way? If so, that would cause the edge of one of them to contact the rotor, especially if you didn't pull, clean, and lube the caliper slide pins.
