The cliffnotes on not cutting the crashbars and giving you a more aggressive look as you stated is 265/70/17 tires on the stock wheel.
+0 offset wheels stick out a decent amount
+20 is what I run (albeit on a wider tire)
+35 is barely any poke
Love: this place, the customizability of the truck (IE aftermarket support), drivetrain is 10/10.
Hate: sometimes the transmission is dimwitted with 33's, I have "ranger lean" and no one really seems to have an actual solution for it confirmed, and the paint although I love the color chips...
yeah it's friggin brutal. Dont get me wrong i'm very OK with stomping on her every once in a while but to downshift sometimes it seems like you gotta send a certified letter to ford requesting permission to shift LOL
2" level, UCA, P285/70/17 wildpeaks = summer highway 23mpg, winter highway 20-21mpg. 93 octane, stock tune.
prior to lift and level the truck got damn near 27 mpg one trip up the parkway to see my sister when i first switched to 93- admittedly it was a 40 mile trip @ 70-72mph
i truly believe...
UCA, 2" Fox Level, P285/70/17 Falken Wildpeaks- extended highway cruise control to our upstate NY lakehouse MPG- consistenty 23mpg in summer. stock tune but I run 93 octane premium. cruise is set between 72-75.
my wheel+tire setup added exactly 10lbs of unsprung weight per wheel vs the stock...
I get that, I'm asking how that's any different than if I towed 7500 pounds every single day. Unless I'm misinterpreting something here- if I had a bone stock version of my truck and towed 7000lbs every single day for 3 years straight and my diff exploded (provided im still under...
Hypothetical for you Phil- how could Ford deny a warranty claim on a differential for example, because I went to a 33" tire with a total increase in unsprung weight 10lbs/whl, when the truck is rated to tow (IE addtl unsprung weight...) 7500 lbs from the factory?
I guess what i'm asking is how...
this. depending on how they did it, there are a few videos showing how the CV could pop out when installing which allegedly damages it with decent frequency.
for paint? most of the guys on here (im generalizing) were not shocked when mine wasn't honored. that being said ford is good for most other stuff. the paint coating is so thin these days.... for example my 2015 focus st was parked in the same driveway for 5 years and had 0 paint issues...
