At 72,000 miles and making my third trip on the Alaska Highway.
Passing slow traffic with plenty of power and riding those frost heaves. My 2019 has been rock solid.
Your brake bulb size 7443 is correct for my 2019 Ranger. Bulb I took out says Toshiba 217 without any other part number ... any one know why no part number on OEM bulb ??
Can't help on how, but the dealer removed the damper when replacing wires back there. Didn't put it back and I haven't notice any difference in glove box function.
Good to know when I'm looking for wife's next vehicle. Hate touch screens. My 2019 Ranger still has buttons to navigate the screen ... and I'll never sell it.
Nice video. My dealer got rid of ASS on first oil change. It's good to understand how tow haul really works, so I know how and what to do. Not sure why I have to get out of tow haul mode to get engine braking going down hill ... I'm puzzled by it.
Really nice video. I recall seeing 85 in Canada, driving from California to Alaska pulling a travel trailer. Odd, but didn't give it much thought. Had to use regular, because premium was not available at some stations on the Alcan.
I use a Fastway E2 on my R-pod 178. Two round trips CA to AK, and really happy with the WDH. There is one exception I take with Grumpaw ... the spring bars should not be oversized. An oversized spring bar that is too stiff would transmit too much bounce to the travel trailer.
Yep, used the oem funnel before a couple times driving the Alcan, without any problems. Now hard to insert. Tried wiggle, push hard, and all that, without success.
When I mentioned lubricant, I was referring to a hinge or something, not the whole funnel. Thanks for comments.
I have to really push hard and wack the fuel funnel to insert. Have used it before and it slipped right in. Does the check valve have to be lubricated with WD 40 or something ?? I checked and there wasn't any debris obstruction. Just don't want to wack it again and break something.
They have a power operated window option. Need that pull out of driveway in the morning, without having to reaching over to crank down passenger window. EV truck might be my wife's next vehicle.
Purchased 2019 new and no issues, except for a mouse chewing wires in glove box. At 50,000 miles, including roundtrip CA to AK on the Alcan. Really happy with Ranger ... except for small gas tank.
Do headlight bulbs dim in time before they fail ?? My 2019 is 5 years old and I need as much illumination as possible driving at night in old age, so replacement before they fail might be the thing to do. Are the more expensive grades of Sylvania SilverStar’s any good or is it just a marketing...
Appreciate all the response. Is was scary enough to see if happening to anyone else. Not wide spread, so I’ll keep an eye on it. Likely what is happening with Cabose-1.
Thanks MechanicalBob, I was in tow mode. Just don’t think I hit brake and gas at same time, I have small foot. Truck just surged forward, unlike throttling the gas pedal.
While pulling into a parking space at slow speed, the engine suddenly accelerates, and I have to jam my break peddle. I can hear the engine speed suddenly rev up and then dies down after hard breaking. Kind of scary and it has happened twice in the past year. Has this happened to anyone else...
Is this deterioration of bump stop normal wear or an indication of suspension problem ? I tow a 3,800# travel trailer couple times a year and do not go off road. If it needs to be replaced, any suggestions ? Not looking to upgrade, just a rookie on suspension issues.
Thanks for feedback. Tech told me to just lift and disconnect the fuse box in the engine compartment, before disconnecting harness behind controller. So far it has worked, but still a concern.
Yes, talking about unplugging the wire plug at back of controller. My 2019 was one of the vehicles that did not come with the 4-loose wire from the factory. Ford actually agree to pay for the wiring and I just paid for the controller installation.
So the tech was in touch with the factory to...
