You should not have to worry about over a quart of fuel in your oil just because you make short trips if that was the case they should State this is a long trip vehicle or warm weather vehicle!I Lol !just ran short on patience with mine , got tired of changing oil and trying to think of what...
Probably gonna end up in a class action lawsuit, eventually! I was Worried if I did make it till the warranty expired and then had trouble I'm screwed. That much fuel in the oil has to be taking life out of that engine!
I don't want to be discouraging but I couldn't take it anymore, last time I changed my oil, at 2500 miles and got 36 extra ounces of oil,a strong enough smell to almost smell like straight gas. And Ford tells me it's fixed I sold mine. Too much aggravation for a 2019 truck with 26000 miles on...
What a laugher anybody knows it takes awhile for the oil to drain down to the pan to get an accurate reading. Sounds like another way to dodge the issue to me!
Has anybody who does alot of short trips in cold weather tried a oil pan heater. Don't know if it would do any good but you would think starting out with the oil heated would have to help?
The level held for quite awhile at the top hole on the dipstick, but now recently it is going higher. I had it back to the dealer in all 4 times after the HPFP change they considered it fixed even tho it still rose to the top hole! An ongoing issue with 25,780 miles on the truck!
If it's that high I'd take it in to the dealer. Mine did the same thing just before 8,000 miles, they ended up changing the HPFP. It helped but didn't totally fix my problem. It did do the job for some guys!
No at the time it started it was late summer, I did end up getting a HPFP change that helped but didn't totally cure the problem. Still rose from the full level to the top hole, but it is rising higher now with the cold weather. Changed the oil a little over a hundred miles ago a few days ago...
I changed to full synthetic at the first oil change at 2600 miles. Went 5000 to the next oil change had no problem. Changed oil again then when I got to somewhere before 8,000 miles started having problems. In the next 1000 miles oil rose high on the dipstick twist.I thought the same thing maybe...
The problem is Ford doesn't want to follow this thru to a fix with the people who are having severe problems with this condition. If you read back in this thread you'll see they take it to what they call a fix and then try to tell you it's normal or ok! Even filing a case with Ford gets you no...
BS ,some have had big problems sure if you haven't it doesn't mean much. But don't talk like we don't know what we're talking about. I don't call a half of quart to a quart rise a little bit of liquid!
