  1. MAGNETIC Ranger Club Thread

The Pro Comp kit comes with high clearance crash bars that clear my 285s no problem, even with the 1.5" wheel spacers. The spacers are primarily aesthetic, I think you only need like a 1/4" spacer up front to safely clear 285s, and some clear by a very slim margin without spacers.
  2. Wiper Blades

The blades I got had a ton of different adapter clips to suit almost all vehicle types. 26" and 16" are the correct sizes.

    Pro Comp 2.25"
  4. Tire Chains

FactionFab 1.5", 11,000 miles on them and they've been great.
  5. What are you guys towing?

I guess I'm the resident porta potty guy lol (inb4 that's a crappy job) Here's the 12-unit trailer I've been running for the past couple months, it weighs about 4,500lbs in this picture but with heavier units it's weighed a little under 6,000 before. I get about 9.5mpg at 65mph. I even towed...
  6. 5G Ranger's Hauling Things Thread

Two pallets worth of sinks for portable toilets (there's 20 sinks in both photos) I had four pallets (40 units) to move and I was determined to make 20 sinks fit at a time to save myself a trip. They were jammed in so tight I didn't even have to strap them down! I could've fit 21 on the second...
  7. Trey's Magnetic Lariat FX4 "Rainier"

Definitely a perk of the job! I get a lot of "heh that must be a crappy job" and "towing a lot of Tacomas I see" so it's refreshing for someone to make a comment that doesn't think they're an original comedian
  8. Trey's Magnetic Lariat FX4 "Rainier"

Thanks! I'm running 30psi on the street/highway and 15psi on the beach. 32psi seems to be the point where it gets extra jittery on corrugated roads, and it's downright awful at 38psi (thanks Valvoline for the "tire pressure check") lol
  9. Trey's Magnetic Lariat FX4 "Rainier"

11,111.1 mile update. The only new "mod" is I got drunk one night and tinted my tail lights, and it came out great if you don't get closer than 20 feet from them. I'll re-do them eventually, but I've been so busy with work that I've only done routine maintenance. A few observations now that...
  10. Poor Fuel Economy on 265/70R17 Tires

I'm getting 17-21 around town and 20-22 on the highway at 70-75mph with 285/70/17s with a big spacer and a 2.25" level. The truck MPG gauge is about 1-1.5mpg optimistic so it often shows 22-24mpg highway and it's pretty consistently over 25mpg on 55-60mph roads. I find I get 2-3mpg more in...

Possible dumb question, but have you checked the settings in the gauge menus? It may have been turned off during the re-program, you may just have to turn it back on.

  13. Terrain management upgrade?

I have a 2019 Lariat FX4 with B&O, not entirely sure how to post my asbuilt data, however. I have made a few changes, too, but would my VIN help? Are you trying to remove the entire center console, or just the part with the 4WD knob and buttons? That part just pries up, starting at the seam...
  14. Strange volume control behavior?

Huh, I noticed it worked fine today but I only drove my truck once so I thought it was just the one in 5 times it worked, glad it's fixed!
  15. FORScan Crowdsourced Wiki

The last two digits in the third bank of numbers are a checksum, it's an addition of all of the numbers in the sequence, in hex, represented in hex (which is why sometimes it's an alphanumeric combination) So your change would be added like this (top in hex and as seen in Forscan, bottom...
  16. Strange volume control behavior?

The quicker fix than making a call is pressing the Voice Control button once to activate it, and then again immediately to cancel it (about a second later). Siri will activate and then immediately deactivate and Audio Volume returns. I have a 19 with the leaked 3.4 update and that's worked for...
  17. Factory rims. 3 inch lift. 285/70r17 Ridge Grapplers

I'm running a 1.5" spacer all around, makes the clearance up front a lot tighter but dang is she good lookin'! ? a 1/4" spacer looks almost factory, you can barely tell. I am running a 285/70/17 tire though. The spacers I bought are like $200, and you can get them in 3/4", 1", or 1.5", the...
  18. Factory rims. 3 inch lift. 285/70r17 Ridge Grapplers

You need the 1/4" spacer up front to clear a 285 width tire, otherwise it rubs the steering knuckle. The lift is irrelevant to the spacer
  19. Top Speed

I've run up to about 102 and it's rock solid for the short distance I was going that fast. My Fiesta ST with a roof basket hit an aero-limited speed of about 129 but the actual limiter without the roof accessories is 143; I wasn't that brave though ? the FiST has a very obvious speed where it...
  20. Flush mount LED?

Those are Baja Designs Squadron Sports, any of the Squadron-series lights (like the Pro or Racer Edition) share the same housing and you can get them in a bunch of optics to suit your needs. I have two spots and two wide/cornering lights, and I plan to replace the lenses with the yellow ones in...
