  1. 23 Gladiator

I drove one today. It was pretty nice. The steering was definitely a little indirect, and it does wander some at highway speeds. I was actually surprised that I didn't feel it was too loud inside at highway speed (the one I drove had the hardtop headliner). The seats were very comfy and I really...
  2. 23 Gladiator

With the discounts on the new gladiators, I am considering taking a look at the gladiator rubicon. Currently I have the XLT with no locker. I have upgraded the suspension, tires, and tune. Seems like it might be a good time to make the jump to have front and rear lockers, front camera, etc. Any...
  3. weird things lately...

As far as rear passenger chime goes, you can turn that setting off or on in entertainment system. Also I don't believe it activates if you did not open the rear door prior to driving, could be wrong there.
  4. 2024 Orders

Thought I would mention that my local dealer will be putting a 25K markup on the new Ranger Raptor. Almost 50 percent of the vehicle's value.
  5. Ford Tonneau

Yeah I have been sending him a whole bunch. I just found a very detailed one of the same cover on a maverick. So I am hoping that should answer the questions. It looks like the exact same process minus the weatherseal being different.
  6. Ford Tonneau

Can anyone please post photos of the install instructions for the 5 ft bed hard folding ford branded tonneau? I am trying to walk the person through installing it that I sold it to, but I gave them the instructions and cannot find them online anywhere. Thank you
  7. Am I missing it, or is there no cabin temp reading?

I have also never had an internal thermometer in any of my cars. There would be useful scenarios for one. People with dogs that leave them in the car for a short while could remotely monitor the temperature in the car from the app and get notifications if its getting too hot or cold. But then...
  8. What to do after installing larger tires ?

Not 100% necessary, but I believe it will also have a negative effect on MPGs if not corrected. You can either adjust tire size with a full tuner or a speedometer calibrator. Both options I looked at used the revolutions/ mile spec to adjust. I ended up just using a full tune. I figured spend a...
  9. Found Truck Unresponsive and Dead

Seems a decent amount of us have had this happen. Typically a one and done occurrence. Mine happened at the dealership when I picked it up after getting the first oil change. Probably only had around 2-3000 miles on it. Now at 13000 and have not had it reoccur. Mechanics were stumped by it.
  10. I did a thing

Definitely there are pluses to having separate devices for different functions. My only problem with that is the more separate things you have, the more separate things you have to charge. So many dang charging cords and bricks laying around the house haha
  11. Oregon Sold: Ford Hard Folding Tonneau Cover $250

Have all parts except for the bulkhead seal kit. It is easy to get a bulkhead seal from Bakflip or other vendors. Cover is in good condition and treated well for 2 years. Replaced due to preference for another cover.
  12. I did a thing

Biggest differences for me seem to be the Inreach capability because I don't have any other satellite device and the MVUM maps being preloaded that would be nice.
  13. I did a thing

Actually been looking at these as well. Going back and forth between the Overlander and the Tread Overland.
  14. You guys got me on the esp band wagon

    Hey me too! Lol
  15. Is Matt’s Off Road Recovery Rope Best?

Awesome! I've been waiting for him to do these and traction boards.
  16. Toyo open country at3 tire pressure?

By bang on, do you mean I should leave at 35 or go lower to 32?
  17. Toyo open country at3 tire pressure?

265/70 17s here and I have just been leaving them at 35 which is what discount tire had them set at. Been considering trying a lower pressure closer to door sticker to see if it’s any softer.
  18. Better ride quality - 2WD mainly city driving

Typically spacer levels would make ride quality worse. But as others above have mentioned, swapping shocks does the trick. Many have done the rears only and have improvement.
  19. This is the End. Beautiful Friend. The End. My only Friend, The End...

Good luck with the Tacoma! I enjoyed my Tacoma a lot, just the headroom/ legroom was not enough for me.
  20. Tuning and improved mileage...anyone?

I have same tire size as you, installed Ford tune. Mileage is around 18.5-20 in town only, recently drove about 3 hours through the mountains and back. Averaged 25.5-26. This was the computer calculation, but with the tune they recalibrated the speedometer for tire size so should be fairly accurate.
