  1. Torque Specs? About to install Fox 2.0s up front ..

Got my fox 2.0 struts and a 4 day weekend ? Im all ready to install however I havnt been able to find any specifications on torquing the ball joints and strut mounts back to factory... all the videos online and the instructions just say “torque to factory spec”... anyone see any posts or know...
  2. Oil Catch Can. Yes or No?

That being said.. If Ford all of the sudden says the ecoboost needs a catch can I assure you I will be the first in line to install one
  3. Oil Catch Can. Yes or No?

I’m gonna leave this comment and walk away... Ill start by saying I bought a new ranger for reliability, warranty, and because I love it. As stated in many of these threads, these engines were stress tested, abused, and then torn apart for inspection. If Ford thought a catch can was necessary...
  4. Performance, Transmission, Bouncy ride, overall drivability

To expand on expansion joints... There’s one part of my commute where I run over a nice joint while going around a bend... Ive learned to slow down for it.. at +60 the rear end of my ranger will hop.. I have the FX4 package. NOT A COMPLAINT.
  5. Issues with Easy-Fuel filler in California

My Ranger LOL i left an empty 2 gallon tank in the bed of my truck for one night and it disappeared.
  6. Performance, Transmission, Bouncy ride, overall drivability

My friend has a gladiator... tells me all the time he wishes he could trade it for a ranger
  7. Performance, Transmission, Bouncy ride, overall drivability

I previously owned A 2000 Cummins 2500 dodge. Truck was in pristine condition and had only 184,000mi when i sold it. Talk about quirks, however. Felt like you got kicked in the ass when the auto trans shifted into 2nd gear. Truck also rode like the axles were welded directly to the frame...
  8. Performance, Transmission, Bouncy ride, overall drivability

I love my Ranger and would not replace it with any other truck... setting quirks aside.. i think the ranger is the best looking/performing truck in its class. Ive owned it for a year and have 18,000 miles on I will admit however that i am one of the complainers according to most of you. I did a...
  9. What did you do to your Ranger today?

Isnt that going to severely restrict airflow???
  10. Issues with Easy-Fuel filler in California

It seems I opened up a can of worms with this post.. and now I’m glad I posted it! I’ve been googling this issue for months and checking this forum and didn’t see anyone complaining about it until now. It’s just annoying, that’s all. Having to hold the nozzle for a few minutes isn’t the end of...
  11. Issues with Easy-Fuel filler in California

I did the same thing! Just stick it in and forget about it until its done! Not to mention its about $1 cheaper on the other side LOL
  12. Issues with Easy-Fuel filler in California

Maybe if i take it to the dealer they will give me some free gas in order to test it:like:
  13. Issues with Easy-Fuel filler in California

Phil, I have the issue at every station here in CA.. I noticed that its occurs less with newer looking nozzles. I've resorted to just holding the trigger manually until it finishes.. Like i said, sometimes it latches on just fine.. but then i end up having to pound it off and i feel like I am...
  14. Issues with Easy-Fuel filler in California

I've been frustrated with the cap-less fuel filler since i bought my ranger. CA law requires the bulky "vapor recover hood" on every gas pump hose nozzle. . I ALWAYS have one of two problems... #1: I cannot get the nozzle to latch onto the Easy Fuel hole and end up having to hold it in myself...
  15. Engine "buzz" at low speeds/rpm

I’ve got 15,000 miles now on my ranger.. the sound has either gone away or I just got used to it. Either way it no longer bothers me and isn’t an issue .
  16. Clunking sound after auto stop??

Thanks for your help. It is actually a little hard to explain. I personally do not think it has anything to do with the main drive shaft, because i imagine if it slipped the way you explained, I would likely feel a thump in the rear end as well. To me, this feels like something that happens...
  17. Engine "buzz" at low speeds/rpm

Turning up the radio has been working for me:like:
  18. Clunking sound after auto stop??

i hear and feel a clunking/ thump sound on the brake pedal whenever the engine auto-stops. Sometimes, I hear and feel this randomly when driving at slower speeds, or noteably when i stop at the top of my drive way to turn around in the morning.. I cant really pinpoint exactly what causes it. I...
  19. Water Sloshing Sound??

I have not checked my coolant level, but i cant imagine that it has changed. Ive only put 5000mi on my truck. The AC functions normaly as it should, and i really dont use it all too often. I figured it was normal but thought i would see alot more people cimplaining about it if every ranger had...
