  1. Delivery times from factory.

I ordered my truck the last week of January and it arrived almost exactly 8 weeks later, March 31. The factory incentives expired on March 31, so even though I made delivery in the first week of April, they dated my paperwork March 31. However, we were already into the Covid 19 lockdown then...
  2. No more front license plate required (as of 7/1/20) for my Ford Ranger in Ohio - I replaced it with this.

Wow, I did my realize there were so many states that only require a rear license plate. Here in MA we had only a rear plate a number of years ago, but now require two. It would be nice if we follow the trend to get back to only one! As far as the Ranger goes, The front plate bracket removes...
  3. Driveshaft Phasing

The device may contain a fairly sensitive accelerometer, but it sounds like a test box that also has recording capability.
  4. Driveshaft Phasing

The next problem, after getting a service tech to "actually feel the vibration" is their next step in diagnosis. Next they would fit the truck with some sort of vibration detector (I don't recall the name of it). If this device detects vibration below a certain limit, nothing will be done...
  5. Auto Start

Or for Free, you could unplug the Battery Monitor System sensor plug at the battery negative post. I previously posted a link to the original post by Boostcruising, but it did not work. AZcruising re-posted the link: Try this one Gary. It's post #145/#147...
  6. Odd spare tire

The FX-4 optioned trucks come with 265/65R17 spare tires on 17” black steel wheels. I used my Ford Pass points to buy the 17” FX-4 spare wheel to replace my 16” spare. The 16” spare tire is a Temporary 50 MPH Limit tire.
  7. Wiper Blades

I have used Bosh Icon with great success with several vehicles, but if they are not available yet for the Ranger I personally would buy the OEM, Trico Force or Valero from Rock Auto. 26” Left and 16” Right. As far as the Rain Sensing wipers go, I personally have these disabled, along with...
  8. Raptor Wheels on Magnetic Ranger

The 255/70 is taller, but the 265/65 is still wider and I will not be using spacers.
  9. Raptor Wheels on Magnetic Ranger

Yes, the same offset, but 1/2" wider. That means the tire will be 1/4" closer to the knuckle.
  10. Raptor Wheels on Magnetic Ranger

Fullscale, Thank you for the clarification. I might have to re-think this because I don’t know if I would want any less clearance than I already have.
  11. Raptor Wheels on Magnetic Ranger

Thank you NvrFinished, That is good news. The clearance between the tire and spindle should not change.
  12. Raptor Wheels on Magnetic Ranger

I am considering putting a set of the Ranger Raptor wheels on my 2020 Magnetic SuperCrew 4x4. I am sticking with the 265/65R17 Yokohama Geolander AT G015 tires that I just put on. Can anyone tell me where the extra 1/2" of width is, toward the inside or outside? I do not want to run wheel...
  13. What oil will you be running after your 1st oil change?

Regarding the reference to Amsoil 5w30 Signature Series having a high Calcium content, the data shown is old data. This chart is referencing the formulation present in 2012. It has since been reformulated for use in GDI and Turbo-GDI engines. earlier in this thread, one of our members, Noseoil...
  14. Massachusetts 4 - 255/65R17 Bridgestone Dueler AT and 16" Spare Tire

I edited the price again, as these are taking up space in my garage.
  15. Ranger SunShade?

“Do you like the Intro-Tech? Thinking about getting one.“ I like it just fine. It comes with a storage case, but like the others said, there isn’t any storage space to really put it out of the way. I just stash it in the back seat. The only thing that I would have liked better would be...
  16. Driveshaft Phasing

The tech was actually driving and we did get up to 80 MPH, but I can feel it starting at around 60 on a smooth road.
  17. Driveshaft Phasing

I just took my truck to a local Ford dealer to have the vibration documented. I rode with the technician as he took it out on a local highway, but the roads here in Western MA are nothing to brag about ( in the latest Civil Engineers Infrastructure Ratings, MA scored an F- -). I was able to...
  18. Driveshaft Phasing

While under the truck I snapped a few photos of the driveshaft assembly and mounting areas. It looks to me that with the center carrier bearing removed there should be quite a bit of clearance for the one piece driveshaft to articulate. I measured the distance between the flanges to be 67.250"...
  19. Driveshaft Phasing

I am thinking that at some point (I only have about 4000 miles on my truck) I might just replace the two piece driveshaft with a single piece aluminum tube one. It would alleviate any issues with the center support bearing and u-joint phasing. I have a 2020 4X4 Non-FX4 SuperCrew. It is my...
