On second thought, I think that I would prefer to adjust the latch as Kimball has demonstrated.
By adding washers under the loop, it will not be as secure as it is now being bolted directly to the hood.
The last car that I had with Adaptive CC was a ā16 Subaru. It had three bars to select from, where the Ranger has four.
With the Ranger set at four bars, it seems comparable to the Subaru set at two. I looked through the spreadsheet in the Crowdsourced Wiki thread and was not able to find a...
Thanks Justin, I see what you are saying now. I did not realize that there are two separate lines running these lights and at different voltage levels. At this point I am going to let Ford Service figure it out.
I am starting to feel the same, that my issue is something other than what I changed in Forscan.
I will still confirm what values I have for 726-45-01.
I have an upcoming safety recall for checking the clip that secures the shifter cable at the transmission, so hopefully I can schedule a check...
WOW, again I thank you for a very informative posting.
I have not seen the āXLT to Lariatā thread. It did not come up in any of my searches.
For the 726-45-01 selection, the As Built listing for my truck shows the settings to be: 0A01 1000 008E.
As soon as I am able, I will confirm what my...
Thanks Justin, mine was definitely a 1. 0000 0001 0056
Can you tell me what difference it made after changing to a zero? The warning looked pretty ominous to me..
With less than 600 miles on my truck I just couldnāt do it.
I made a few Forscan changes and restored everything back to As Built.
The changes were made to: BCM, IPC and SCCM..
When I take my truck in for service, will Ford be seeing this information when they check out my truck?
Regarding my issue with the LED DRLs on my new Ranger, I will be needing to take my truck with less than 600 miles on it for a recall soon. If I was to have the dealer check this out, can anyone tell me if Ford would be able to see that I had made Forscan changes and restored them?
Regarding the following suggestions:
āIn forscan check these settings:
BCM
726-26-02
xxxx xxx0 xxxx (0 = LED headlights)
726-45-01
xxxx 7Fxx xxxx (7F = enable all choices)
726-50-01
108E for dedicated drlā
The truck did not like either of the first two items, 726-26-02 and 726-45-01...
I was looking through the Auto Start menus on my ā20 Lariat, and Auto HVAC can be unchecked, where I am pretty sure that it will then retain whatever settings that were present when the truck was shut off.
FYI: I was reading up at the Forscan Forum and found something that I had not known before.
APIM changes are sent via the Sync 3 connection to Ford. The Forscan reference is here:
Sync 3 (APIM module) sends its configuration changes to Ford. So if you change something there, Sync will send...
I suppose that either the loop or the latch could be adjusted. I will look into both scenarios when my deflector arrives. Even now as delivered my hood latching is a bit tighter than maybe is necessary.
Thanks for the comments, but I forgot to mention that both items were in place.
The DRL option is checked in the Lights selection, and I had the truck in Drive with E Brake on when I was checking the lights. I also checked in Auto Mode, and the DRLs only come on when it is dark enough for the...
I just picked up my ordered ā20 Lariat and among other items I am working on, I changed a few settings with Forscan.
Everything was working great, including disabling the Auto Start/Stop. Then I realized that the LED headlight DRL strips were only turning on when I had the parking lights or...
Hello Kimball,
I just picked up my ordered ā20 Ranger and have a Bug Guard on order. As delivered, the hood takes a bit of effort to close, I found your video extremely informative and very well presented!
Thank you for this,
Harry
Instead of trying to replace factory tweeters, you might consider modifying them, on my previous vehicle, a ā16 Subaru Crosstrek I modified the original ones which maintained the mounting flange. Here is a link to the discussion that inspired me to do it myself...
