Well I'm glad they found that out, that's what happened to mine originally...cracked blender door and there was water in the bottom of the ac unit.....both got fixed. I haven't really had the smell again in sprayed Lysol in the intake with the ac on high and vent open and it's been fine ever...

This is a stupid question but can someone take a picture of the front of the ranger with the hood open and show me where the fresh air intake is it's a little confusing,?

Also the blend door was.cracked and they fixed that on 2nd attempt...

And I am still under warranty

Well here we go again first hot day out here in the Northeast I turn my air conditioning on and I get a sweet sour smell for 3 seconds and it goes away... It has been in three previous times for this the first time they sprayed some stuff in the vents said I could have just been the air...

Hello I have a 20xlt and I want to upgrade my headlights to led? Any suggestions? Can I just switch the halogen bulbs with led? What is the correct lumens? And what about the daytime running lights are they separate bulbs? Again I have an xlt that has halogen headlights......

I also have a 20 but like I said it doesn't happen all the time it only happened twice in 3 years maybe it was just a hiccup

Like I said it doesn't do this all the time only twice . Im asking cause could it maybe be the gas buoy in the tank maybe is bad?

Well after some days and some tests all seems well here with the ranger no more odor and a clean bill of health. Thks for all who contributed.....

UPDATE.....so she finally got worked on. Changed out the box under the heater box which contains the evaporator. When they pulled it out heard some slushing in there. Replaced it, refilled ac refrigerant . Put back together. Still no sign of mold in ducts or on cabin filter. It has.been fine...

Are u guys kidding? Some clown will purchase this...Haven't we learned how dumb and stupid the people of this country are? Someone just bought a house around the corner from me for almost 600,000 with no backyard and only 1 floor....it's not worth 300......

So she went in, they called Ford engineering and when they originally changed the blender door and heater box....they didn't change the bottom 2nd part of the heater box which contains the evaporator coil etc ...so now in a week they will replace that and it should do the trick. No sign of mold...

True, they did say they didn't see any water but if it comes back dashboard removal which is what is scheduled for the middle of the month....ugh

I did. Well I didn't have this before they changed my heater box and blender door. So it's been in once 2 more times....lemon law?
