I have a stupid question where is the intake vents? On a ranger? Can u send me a photo? And what should I spray?

It's confirmed cause there's no wet mats no moisture on windshields in am. That is for sure. I never had this until they worked on heater ox and blender door

So what is your suggestion? I'm sure they are going to pull dash apart....where should I shoot Lysol in? They told me if it was mold it would show up on the cabin filter...? Is that true?

So you are saying it's mold? It smells like silicone for 3 seconds and goes away....I can't see that it's mold....IF IT IS..it's something Ford did when they did the heater door and blend door. I wonder if it keeps happening can I get it as a lemon? That's obviously last resort

Well I can tell you it's back. So she will be going back in soon to get fixed. Prob take shit apart and find a pinched something in there.....we will see....

Well, here's my update ...I drove it in for my 8am appointment.....I did NOT turn on ac. So when they did they smelled it. They checked for mold ..found nothing and no water. Sprayed some deodorizer type of spray in the vents and said give it a week or 2 and see if it comes back. That was wed...

The problem is it only does it once in awhile when it starts up so with my luck when I take it there it will not do it

It's very hard to believe thats what's happening....but I guess hopefully it's an easy fix.....was that caused by them replacing the blend door ?

Well was gone but started her up this afternoon and it was there again. She goes in the 27th so I will update you all then ......

Ok stupid question but how would it get into the filter if it isn't in the ducts?

I will keep an eye on it. Curious I'm still going to call dealer and talk to my advisor and see what he says....

I checked it it was just dirty no mold really on it....leaves and dirt ....but I will check it in a couple months
