May I suggest a Baofeng ham radio? They’re very inexpensive. You don’t need a license to listen. They’re about 50 bucks new on Amazon. License needed if you transmit and without a call sign most operators won’t respond or converse with you.

I just got my ham license last Tuesday, KO6KPZ. I only have a handheld Yaesu FT5D but I have a mobile magnetic antenna and microphone on order. This way I can decide if I truly want to get a dedicated system which can be pricey!!

Great find but parking won’t be the same. I get the urge to upsize but California gas prices leaves me wanting. As a new ham radio nerd I see you definitely have a lot more room for antennas.

One would think FX4 shocks would be great but sadly they happen to be the worse thing ever installed on a Ranger.. IMHO
