I appreciate all of the insightful answers. For my own peace of mind I wouldn't tow anything that close to the towing maximum capacity of my vehicle. To each his own that's what makes this a great country. Cheers to all
My right side had a perfect little half moon chip right on the edge and I superglued it and no issues but the left one has a hole broke out and two cracks. Gotta replace it

Installed the new unit. It was a bit fiddly putting the BLISS in place but all in all pretty straight forward. Looks perfect and the fitment was right on the money.
Best I have done on the highway has been 26mpg. In town no better than 15 to 17 mpg. Mind you my trips are usually no more than 10 miles so there's that.
