I also have the wavy appearance. I have just learned to ignore it. It seems that it's only on the passenger side of the windshield, and temperature affects it.
Just something I figured I would post. I rarely ever post on YouTube, but occasionally I'll throw something on there for fun.
Hopefully you all will like it. :)
Performed the oil blotter test over night last night on Chromatography paper. The dealer won’t let me change my own oil the first time as it will ‘void’ my extended warranty - although, I’d probably be a whole lot more thorough than my dealer. Whatever. Anyway,
A colorless spot or slight...
Thanks so much! Is there any way you can post a picture from a couple of feet away? That includes all of one side? I'd like to see how noticeable they are. :)
Thanks brother.
Please post a link to the door edge protector you have! And if you have anymore pictures of them from a distance I would love to see that, too. :) Thanks.
Started reading a bit and discovered an at home test that could ease some worrying minds. While not entirely scientifically accurate, with as much fuel dilution that other members are claiming they have - this should easily show some form of evidence.
You want to place a drop or two of used oil...
They're not at all visible to passerbys. And I am VERY OCD about paint work (I used to do body work and ran detailing business). The dealer would just have a shop that doesn't know what they're doing around here paint it and fill it. It's about 0.2mm deep indent.
I will keep it as is since its...
Don't know why my oil life drops so fast. I guess I could chalk it up to a few pulls/passes on the interstate.
Truck is super smooth at 90mph lol.
Does yours smell like fuel? I haven't been reading all of the posts. Just page 27.
Here is my dip stick after 765 miles with my oil life percentage. Smells of fuel, but not an overpowering smell. Just slight hint of gas. Like 2-stroke engine. Thank God, my level has stayed the same, but I really haven't put many miles on her.
My truck has 700 miles on it. Ceramic coated and garage kept.
Looked at the hood yesterday, and there are two very fine dings on the front of the hood where the closing mechanism is under the metal. Makes me kind of curious if this is a widespread issue, but I haven't seen any others to...
That's why I have done nothing to my engine. Terrified of creating an issue.
Would the Boomba Racing BOV adapter (also makes the whoosh, but keeps factory components) be any less stressful to the engine?
Thanks. I was reading on the Mustang EcoBoost forums where earlier 2017s would run rich, but I am guessing our platform is different.
My goal is to continue to add smiles per gallon when driving the thing.
I'm assuming your truck doesn't suffer from fuel in oil smell, either?
So, I want my truck to sneeze because it's sneezin' season.
I do have a few questions though.
Where does the factory valve route the blow off to? Does it go back into the intake?
More to the above question, will an aftermarket throw off sensors if the factory BOV does route back to the intake...
That's probably not a good thing lol. What all have you done to your engine upgrade wise?
My 350 TBI was built and would smoke constantly. That thing always made me angry. Oil would magically appear out of nowhere no matter what I did to that engine. I could throw it into the sun and it would...
Great! Now compose a video of your blow off valve, exhaust, with at the very least decent footage.
No one has gotten half decent sound clips of anything.
Otherwise, nice. I wanna hear it.
I want some sound clips as well. I like being obnoxiously loud, but then again I only drive the 2019 on Sunny days or weekends so going to work won't bother the neighbors (actually, my 2010 is also catted with straight pipes. lol)
Also, what is a no fouler? Isn't that what is used for plugs?
I don't have the money at the moment with everything going on. I'm hoping to be buying one here shortly when my factory wheels sell. Let me know how it goes for you. I'm excited for other members, but sad I can't already have it lol.
I talked to the owner of Plug n' Play kits over the weekend. He released this kit here.

It's specifically built for our trucks now.
