Not sure the difference is noticeable, since the openings are quite small. I closed them up anyway as any air that IS going through them is just hitting my tools, wasted.
I have quite a few tools & recovery gear that I slide under my Supercab's driver and passenger seat. Some of you may have noticed that there is a floor vent that runs under the seats with a plastic extension. The plastic extension will slide right off if you give it a gentle pull and give you a...
Here's a video of what the guy did to the "stock" ranger

Yeah I can't say if there's any suspension work done, but regardless I stand by what I said. Some taller tires and light suspension mods is all you need for some serious trails. I'd also get the detachable sway bar links the guy is making on here.
This guy is driving Moab in a stock Ranger + 33" tires. Unless you want to blow huge amounts of money, I recommend you be a little more realistic about your goals. Why not start with taller tires, better shocks in the rear, and a level up front of like 2.5" w/ leveled struts or a full coilover...
All you need at this point is a Trailer brake controller. I have the Ford Redarc one. Install was a pain but it works w/ the emergency braking which is really nice in my opinion.
I've had the Ford TBC sitting in my garage for like 2 months now. Can't bring myself to install it and pop off all those panels. Usually a part doesn't make it in the box for more than 24 hours before it's installed lol.
I totally agree, and I find all the serious 4x4 guys in Australia also run hitches and promote them as something you want on your offroader to protect the underside of your vehicle.
I went with Full Auxito 1:1s for Lowbeams, Fogs, and High beams. I am super happy with them. No adjustments needed, direct swap. I took before and after photos of all lights and they lined up perfect. No flashes from other drivers and the light output is massively improved, without worrying...
After some research I decided to add a 14" light bar to the ranger. I went with 14" as it didn't restrict a lot of airflow like some of the full length bars do.
Light bar...
Located in University Place, WA in the greater Seattle area. Have the rear shocks off my 2020 4x4 XLT. Free (or a bottle of wine or 6 pack of beer) if anyone wants them. Took them off with around ~1800 miles on them.
I'll keep this post up for a couple weeks then I'll toss them.
There's a setting you need to change on the truck menu to make the location work on the app. I don't remember the exact setting but you can find it on the forum
Not all long blocks are the same. OP might not want to mess with the potential of different alternator locations, accessory locations, getting an even more advanced tune to run the other engine. A lot of programming and work may be required vs buying a replacement long block.
Might be less work...
