Yeah, I do quite a bit of offroad driving: forest roads, some wheeling, offroading to get to trails and get the dirtbike to places or my camper trailer. I like the 5100's a lot. I don't do high speed stuff, so I didn't see the need for the external reservoir ones.
I did bilstein 5100's front and rear + a 1" eibach lift block on the rear. I did 2.5" front and that 1" in the rear and the truck sits higher and still has a slight rake to accommodate towing and loading the bed.
Note: I did the same thing you are talking about. I did rears first, then fronts...
You cant. You have to re-align. If you are going to spend the time, do it right with leveled struts or coilovers. I have the bilstein 5100's all around and like them. Personal preference between all the ones you have listed.
If you're gonna do it, avoid the spacers. More cons then pros. Might...
Following this post! I'm really just interested in the White DRL's and the ambers for turn signals. I'm not a huge fan of the startup show. Is all of that adjustable when you wire it up?
I ordered Rears only from them quite a while ago, showed up pretty much right away but they were in stock. I was watching for the fronts to come back in and they were backordered EVERYWHERE for what felt like an eternity. Stage 3 made a post here that they got a bunch of fronts in stock and I...
Have we covered if its possible to adjust the speed that the auto high beams come on? I think its around 32 mph and turns back off at 26. I would prefer it to be more like turn on at 25 and turn off under 20. My fiancee's CX5 activates the auto high beams at lower speeds and I like it way more.
I've been running the low beams, high beam, and fogs since Feb and no issues. Not exactly long term but a decent amount of time.
The low beams will not blind anyone. Just park in front of your garage and take before / after pics to make sure the bulbs are clocked the correct orientation. I know...
We're already getting close to that. A lot of this high powered chargers can give like 200-300 miles in 15-20 mins. Plus, a vast majority of people don't drive very far on a daily basis and you'd probably do most of your charging overnight at your house.
I have a reservation in on the...
I would just get a couple cans of fluid film and spray the underside of the truck once a year. However, I live in WA now and we don't really have any rust here.
I think it looks pretty good. I bought my 2020 with the intention of it being my last ICE truck. Put in a reservation for the Lightning, so I'm going to hold out for that until like 2023. I've been filling up my Ranger a lot lately and could really use a full size truck. The Frunk on the...
This was in response to OP's comments around being screwed if the emergency braking activated and having the trailer brakes activating wouldn't help him in that situation.
I put some loctite on the nut. Found plenty of examples of folks reusing the axle nut. I torqued, loctited, and paint penned it. I wouldn't worry about it too much.
I definitely think you'd want the other module. I also have an XLT, and the point is that if your automatic braking system applies the brakes, if you don't have that other module installed, it won't activate your trailer brakes. You could definitely be in a situation where the automatic braking...
