Hey mate, first off, I wish you the best of luck on that. First off, keep in mind that 90%+ of this forum are based in US/Canada, and we all have 2.3L petrol engines, while your Ranger Raptor has the 2.0L Bi-Turbo Diesel. And our dealership experiences/responsibilities may be different...
Thanks for sharing that. I was thinking I was going to pick up a new set of amber fogs for when I pull my bumper off, but wasn't really sold on it yet. But I am sold on this option. :) More $$ spent because of Ranger5G forums!
So I've never heard of BDR before... and after looking it up, I love the concept... Other people putting together a route full of fun adventurous stuff, count me in. However, I see it's designed for bikes... Any reason we can't follow the routes in our trucks?
What's your drive habits like? If you do a lot of short trips, or extended idles, the spark plugs could be fouled. You can clean them out with about 10min of high RPM driving (use manual mode to keep it in like 2nd gear).
It all depends on what you're looking to get out of your setup. From what I can tell, Rhino doesn't have a tower option - just a bedrail choice. So if we're taking that as what you're looking for... it looks like the options are as follows:
Rhino Vortex Bar + RLT600 + Quick Mount Fit Kit* =...
That must be a newer thing on the 2021 vehicles. I know on other Ford products, that you can disable it (for 6 months) in the sync screen... But I've only ever seen it on Sync Gen4 vehicles, so I'm not sure about if that feature is still there in the Sync3 systems... but again, my Ranger...
I mean, at a minimum, cut of a pool noodle and put it over the crossbar. The cheapest and simplest racks I've seen have basically been that... I want to say its a strap that goes through the car doors with a buckle, and then a little air bladder to provide some padding for your kayak. Keep in...
I got in on the mass order back when the 2019s were new. I believe someone on this forum was importing them from Australia, then doing some wiring reworks, and reselling them. I want to say it was like $85 at the time, shipping included.
I love the functionality. The window switches are one...
I have two power adapters for my work computer, one's designed to be a at-the-desk power adapter, which I believe is 240W. The other is a portable one, that's 160W... Which is more than what's stated that the AC outlet is rated for. However, I have no problem using the 160W one to charge my...
Not quite. If you try to start it with a key in the vehicle (or if it's not seeing it for whatever reason), you'll get a message in the cluster for "No Key Detected"... and it will NOT go into accessory mode.
That said, I would be in the same camp as others... don't worry about it. A few...
Yakima has a TopGrip that is designed for shovel handles to go in it. It locks. Though I question how much that really matters - you can still (with effort at least) slide it out the top. Though I guess it does make it harder than just popping the clamp open and walking away with it.
Since we have the inventor here... I'm always curious behind the motivation of the invention.
What was the pain point you saw in the community that you looked to address with your product?
Who is your target audience for your product?
Under what use conditions do you see your product being the...
Keep in mind that every joint is going to have a torque-to value, and then a residual torque value, typically about 30% lower than the applied torque. That initial torque is with a brand new fastener, and if the fastener is selected correctly, is going to stretch when you hit that final torque...
I'm not expecting any sort of resolution to my issue. I've had it since I bought the truck nearly 3 years ago, and have done numerous Sync updates in that time period. Plus, the Everest I'm driving in Thailand right now has the same issue :P.
Heh, I have the opposite problem. I use a combination of my old 2008 iPod Touch through USB, as well as just a pure USB drive. The 8'' screen will freeze up on the Song/Artist and never change about twice a week. The small screen continues to work though. If I change sources and come back...
