It's crazy to me how these trucks hate mods. My truck stock rode perfect stock. As soon as I added a leveling kit and tires all hell broke loose. Switching to a one piece driveshaft made a huge difference. Truck rides great now. I get vibes occasionally, but I know it's the tires. Especially now...
Since these are prone to HVAC issues, HVAC would be on top of my list, and oil leaks. Although oil leaks leaks would probably be covered by power train warranty most likely.
I had some fuel smell as well, think it's common with GDI engines. Add a turbo to it and it's going to make it worse. Personally I just make sure to change my oil every 5K, and I get on my truck every once and a while. I don't baby it. If I see an open stretch of road, ill punch it and open her...
If I remove my air dam, and I don't install the FX4 skid plate right away, will there be any issues aside from maybe reduce MPG? Some say that air dam helps with cooling? Not ready just yet to drop $400 on the skid plate, but hate the look of the air dam.
Anyone have a good frontal pic with valance removed? Thinking of doing this to mine. Was going to wait till I got my FX4 skid plate, but I may do it before then if it doesn’t look funny without it.
Sure. Not issues so far. Truck drives smooth 90 percent of the time. On occasion I'll get some minor vibration in the rear, but I am pretty sure it's the tires. The NVH app also confirms this. Overall it's greatly improved the ride of the truck. Took the truck on a 4 hour off road trip recently...
Although I live in Vegas and it gets hot, the entire windshield is tinted with ceramic tint and my truck never sits in the sun. At work it’s in a secure parking garage, and at home I park inside the garage. I used Velcro to secure the base in case I do need to leave it parked somewhere, I would...
The only thing that truly fixed mine was going to a one piece driveshaft. Stock my truck was perfect. A 2.5 leveling struts and slightly bigger tires was all it took to bring on insane vibration. These truck does not like to be modified at all.
