Popped the boot loose and the wire harness was unplugged. Must have been barely secured from the factory. I don't see any other way it could've come loose. All good again.
Great info. Much appreciated. Tow/Haul functions normally and so does sport mode. I do have a temp version of Forscan so I'll look for those codes and will check the electrical connections. Would the "SST = Select Shift Transmission (Up / Down)" code mean the switch/knob assembly is the culprit...
21 Xlt Tremor. Approximately 15k miles. I use the manual shift buttons to lock out higher gears daily. Noticed today that they have lost their function. Anyone else have this happen? A couple on/off cycles didn’t remedy the issue. No codes or errors on the dash.
Yes, same concept. I’d want to know if that item you referenced is .50” actual or if it achieves .50” of lift. A .50” thick spacer would net about 1” of total lift. I needed .25” to even out side to side inconsistency from factory so the 3mm was perfect.
Thanks for the responses. I suspected that to be the case since the level spacer needs to sit flush to the bottom side of the coil bucket area. Protruding studs would prevent that.
I'm adding a 3mm shim to the top of the driver's side FRL spacer to correct the .25" dip/lean and wanted to ensure...
Looking for the strut side view out of vehicle with spacer bolted to it. Trying to see if the strut studs protrude past the top edge of the spacer. I have the kit but haven’t installed it.
Driveshaft was replaced under TSB. No need for that yet...I believe that was a solution more for the slip bump/thud and not for the vibration/shudder. Keep my eye on it though.
Thanks for your response and feedback. I only get a brief/mild shudder in the 5-10 mph range accelerating from a stop. Nothing noticeable elsewhere. Almost negligible when turning from a stop.
I tried to attach a photo showing my methods with the angle finder but they wouldn't upload for some...
Is it matched angles for each driveshaft section or within 1-2 degrees that works best? I am going to add the BDS shackle and want to figure out if my angle will be kosher prior. I've already had the shim and new driveshaft TSB performed which didn't do much.
I've been told that 1" of shackle...
It may not be entirely necessary. I want a stronger link without plastic ends and thought correcting the sway bar geo at the same time would be a plus. The Dobson info has me confused as many (like yourself) haven't had the need to shorten. I guess an adjustable version will allow one to play...
I know the normal answer is to extend the link to put the bar at the same angle as stock. I'm about 2.5" of level/lift on the front on my Tremor and was considering extended links. I found a few options that would work but also stumbled across the Dobson links. They claim they have to run a...
Anyone knocked out the lower front shock studs and replaced them with regular grade 8 bolts? I see the fox kit uses bolts and it makes installing the coil assembly easier as you don't have to push the lower arm down as much to clear the tower. I wonder if the knurling from the studs will cause...
Anyone running these two items in harmony? I have the catch can already. Looks to be the same location as the 589 bracket. Want to be prepared for the worst when I install the winch mount.
Weird issue I've noticed since new (15k miles at the moment). The lower window scrubber seals don't seem to have enough tension and won't clear water or condensation when cycling them up and down. Is this by design? Anyone else notice this?
I've never had a vehicle not capable of wiping water...
Very frustrating indeed. I added about 1/4" of shims at the carrier bearing and it didn't help much. I may go a little more but will need longer bolts. The start up shudder all but disappears when I have my 235 lb dirt bike in the back so I know it's pinion angle related. I believe there is a...
That looks pretty good. Did you have a shudder that was cured or minimized after the shackle? Assume the tremor rear shocks are long enough for the added height? That 2" level seems a little taller than advertised. Regardless I'm interested.
Has that worked for others? Seems dropping the carrier would accomplish the same thing.
My Tremor sits way high in the rear as is. It would be even worse with 1" added. Granted, I do have a 2" FRL level on the shelf. I've been holding off installing until I get the shudder figured. I think it...
I had my 21 Tremor at the dealership at around 3000 miles for a mild shudder from a stop. It would go away after I got closer to 10 mph and wasn't noticed at highway or city driving speeds. They did the tsb and shimmed the rear. It shuddered leaving the dealer.
Dealt with that for another 4000...
