No need to justify your choice of the Datsun, I even bought one once (before they became ashamed of their name.) It just might now be the second best midsized truck on the market...
(Behind Ranger of course) and the margin is well pronounced.
Well after 2-1/2 years when can I expect any imperfection to start to show up on my Ranger 10SPD.
Never a drop of dilution so I know where that's going...nowhere!
'bout it for now
I would say " let's compare again in 10 years".....
but your Datsun will be long gone and I'll still be driving my...
I use mine almost exclusively for emergency maneuvers in a moving vehicle,
Also for fun, but "joy stick" was already taken.
Guess the name you use should follow the function! :giggle:
I used to use it as a parking brake when I had a stick , but only to idle, or to park on a steep slope.
At least it is a real E-Brake with the control in the right place, so it is still a good tool for control on ice and snow.
Thanks for the reminder though, I like to exercise it at every oil...
I love that little 2.7, but I don't get all the excitement about it over the 2.3.
The 2.3 is a well developed engine and was chosen over the 2.7 for the Mustang.
I think it was the right choice.
Considering the "Twin Turbo" comments. The extra Turbo is simply the result of having an extra head...
The new Ranger will certainly be exciting, so is the new Maverick.
Unfortunately I love my 5G STX Supercab enough for the long run.
Same is true for my Transit Connect...And my Mustang.
My Pinto is sorta permanently on deck, so it will take a lot to sell me on a new truck for some years yet...
Well, back in the day Maytag was a good product but now its just a fraud label with bad warranties.
As for Toyota, in my experience you have to be a three handed ambidextrous contortionist to work on one.:giggle:
The good part is... having a Toyota can cure hip dysplasia caused by sitting too...
As for the water on the passenger side floor....
On almost every vehicle made, cabin intake air comes in from the cowl.
Heavy rain can overwhelm the cowl drain and small amounts of water can then come in through the air intake.
I have seen lots of vehicles which are parked outside get leaves...
Not sure what you mean, but what I have said was accurate. The use of the word "Splash" for the Graphic in 1992 doesn't really prevent the subsequent use of the term "Splash" as an actual trim level on the stepside in '93 which is assumed to be the case.
My '92 was the best handling Ranger I ever drove, In fact Ford even advertised it as a "Sports Car with a big trunk!
On that subject, can anybody find the commercial with the Rangers and the Tacoma's doing a WW2 style dogfight, with the Rangers machine gunning the Tacomas? Hilarious!
That's why I said " not strictly true" The Splash graphic was a no cost option on the Sport, but it was listed as "Splash" on the options list for 1992.
I had to delete it to avoid it.
I don't recall if the graphic was a stand alone option on a base truck for a fee or not but I don't think so...
