Thank you. So no rivets to drill out or replace. All screws/bolts/Clips?
What is #3 in the top picture? A clip?
I did find a video on removing the door panel. I assume based on the second picture that that is required.
Does anyone have any tutorials or videos on how to replace the rear door handle on a 2021 Ranger Supercab (the half door)?
The plastic handle snapped during very cold temps this winter. Unfortunately, it appears to be an expensive piece. Door still opens, just have half the handle left...
Update. Took it into the dealer and received a quote of $795 which include their $200 diagnosis fee. It seemed like they may have waived that when work was done though.
Anyway, following that, I filed a case with Ford customer care. While still on the phone, the care representative called...
I looked on their site. They need a specific measurement? Not understanding why they'd need this.
Also saw that ford does sell just the bearing... KB3Z-4W602-A which I've seen for $120 from fairway Ford parts.
Got my diagnosis. Bad carrier bearing it is.
The mechanic, local shop, is going to call Ford to see if he can get just the bearing or if he needs to order the whole drive shaft.
He also said I may be able to whine to Ford to have them replace it since the truck is 250 miles outside of the...
Thank you for the reply.
What is strange to me that is doesn't get lower as I slow down. It abruptly stops.
I'll try to record the sound at some point.
I believe I'll eventually take it to a local shop. Family owned. The mechanic came from a Ford dealership so he sees a lot of Ford...
I don't drive the truck all that often, it's my wife's daily driver. Last time I was in the truck, I noticed a rubbing noise.
It does it while the truck is moving at or faster than 4 MPH. When slowing down, it stops abruptly at 4mph. It does not seem to change volume or tempo with speed...
There are central planner types in government, especially now, who see everyone moving to the city, selling their cars, renting and using mass transit as the ultimate goal. Forcing EVs on everyone, limiting range of movement, etc is what gets them excited.
Not interested until they can get a full charge in the time it takes me to fill a gas tank. Every long trip becomes 50% longer because of all the extended charging stops.
Have some curb rash on a rim. It's the black appearance package with the gloss black.
I've been looking at the do it yourself kits/paint and wondered if Ford had a kit for this that specifically matched the black of the rims?
If not, has anyone tried any specific kit and how did it match?
Paid the dealer around 500 for the install, but paid full list for the kit.
I love the upgrade. We had the truck about a week before the work was done and myself and my wife noticed the difference in ride quality immediately. Certainly not a cheap upgrade, but I'd do it again.
I was pretty disappointed in this too. A POS mid level EcoSport we had as a loaner had push button start, but our 2021 XLT truck does not. 2018 Mustang GT (non Premium) has it. I didn't even consider that it wouldn't when we ordered the XLT.
Pretty much decided to go half yards at a time. Forgot that I need to include myself in the payload weight. Just gonna be safe and go that route. My guess is that they do go with healthy half yards based on previous experience there so it will probably be 1,000 lbs in the bed at a half yard...
It's a XLT Supercab 4x4.
Yeah, that was a thought too - them being generous on the scoop. We've also had some good rain of late so good chance it is on the top end of their estimate.
It's just a quick 6 mile trip and they sell by half yards too. 1 yard should be enough so I'll probably...
Need to get some dirt/compost this weekend. Does the Fox Leveling Kit alter the max payload on the truck?
Also, the supplier said the weight of a yard is 1700-1900 lbs for a 50/50 mix. I'm guessing that is right at the top end or a little over the listed payload (can't check - wife has the...
