I don’t understand the miles to empty calculation I am getting. I’m towing a travel trailer, getting 12 mpg. I stop to fill up and the Ranger fuel monitor then says I have 240 miles to empty. That seems to indicate I have a 20 gallon tank. Why it do that? I don’t trust that anyway, especially...

I was able to get it tested and a shop that does hitches, welding, etc. They verified that it is working. Took them 2 minutes to hook up their unit and check it out. At first they saw nothing but once I turned up the "volume" on the controller, they confirmed it's working.

I did find that the LEF does illuminate when I press it. Helped to do that at night! But I could not successfully perform the test process that @RangerBill shared. Taking it to a shop today to have them check it out.

Good point. I now recall being asked if I wanted to use premium synthetic (or something like that) and when I said I had the prepaid maintenance, she said that’s what they would use.

2020 Lariat 4WD CrewCab. Had it in about 2000 miles ago to fix a squeal that sounded like a belt but turned out to be a spring on the starter that went south. They said they had to drop the transmission to fix it. Otherwise all good.

Couldn't have done it without the Ranger. Up until a couple months ago, I had a 2006 Jeep Liberty and and 2012 Jeep Liberty (still have the 2012). Both of those max out at 5000. Got a new Ranger specifically for towing a future RV and it looks like it can handle it pretty well.
