  1. What oil catch cans are out there for our Rangers?

forgive my ignorance, but on a flat 4 is there really two sides?
  2. What oil catch cans are out there for our Rangers?

heres a diagram of the pcv locations. the ford performance one is good, short run of hoses and looks oem. Filter media looks good. JLT one is nice but you need to cut the insane hose length they give. Crazy how much these skyrocketed in price, used to be under $100, and even then was a lot for...
  3. 1.0 Inch Eibach Rear + Level Tremor

i had 285/70/17s nittos on mine stock, just had to get rid of the crash bars. Worked with stock wheels and the RTR wheels, i think +25 or +30 no issues. I threw on the FOX 2.5 racing shocks and that leveled the front. But i wasnt sure how much the preload was from factory, was learning all about...
  4. Ford Performance Catch Can

i wish they locked onto the bracket better, i took a hard jump and one of the fittings popped off. Temp solution is just using zip ties to hold it secured to the bracket and just cutting them off when i need to drain it. Otherwise no issues and it fits perfectly, looks oem too.
  5. Help, Quick Question: torque spec wheel lug nuts

never had an issue, keeps the studs from rusting and well, seizing. At the drag strip, offroading, or towing. Its not a perfect 100% void gap with the stud and nut, air and sometimes water gets in, thats how you can get corrosion, anti seize will literally just fill that gap. If youre not...
  6. '23 Ranger vs '23 F150 XLT

yeah pretty much that point about optimizing the f150. Its crazy how much tech and other stuff they threw into it to squeeze every little bit of mpg out, body style and all. I barely hear wind noise in the f150 compared to the ranger, mileage is damn near close as well even tho i have 35s, and...
  7. Leather interior cleaning?

i like ammo interior cleaner and then lightly brush over the area to create a lather, wipe it off, then use some leather conditioner (ive tried like 7 different brands, most are the same, use whatever pays you more) and then lightly buff to a matte finish after letting it sit for a few minutes...
  8. Spark Plug Replacement @ 100k miles

ive never had to spray anything down to the spark plugs thank god, but i usually take an air gun and spray around and inside before taking it out, and some anti seize on them goin back in with some di-electric grease on the boot opening and where it meets with the valve cover. Psure the ranger...
  9. Help, Quick Question: torque spec wheel lug nuts

i swapped all of my 2 piece lugs with mcguards stuff. the oem lugs on the 04 are holding up well, but the two pieces on the ranger and raptor swelled. I know this is a hot debate but i always back off 5 to 10ft-lbs (like said above) and put some light anti seize on the wheel mounting surface...
  10. Ranger vs. F150

Same here, hard to recall my avg mpg cause i did so much to that truck, but i think my avg was 19-20 stock mix of city and interstate. My raptor gets 18 avg which shocked me, my tremor after the tune, tires, and fox racing shocks got that. i can get 30s if i go below 40mph all day lol, crazy...
  11. Ranger vs. F150

I never saw close to that in mine unless i was doin 50-60, what magic did you have in that baby?
  12. Ford performance grille vs ebay special

think mine was the old version stage 3 sold. Was pretty good fitment for a non oem part. Painted it magnetic grey and kept the ford letters black. Not sure if theyre still sold but i prefer the old design vs the new ford one
  13. Long Range America Tank

pretty cool theyre finally offering this, one of the reasons i sold mine was cause i got tired of having such a small tank for a truck. Does it come with baffles, could have a decent hydraulic surge on hard braking or jumping. Also thats a lot of extra weight on one side that truck wasnt...
  14. 700+ dollars for a trans spill and fill?

yeah after ponying up what op paid for (last time i had this done it was $280 which was worth it imo), doin this myself after watching this. Luckily the raptor is easier than the vid, no cooler lines to remove nor lifting up the damn assembly.
  15. How to drain ford performance air/oil separator M-6766-R23.

it takes a few seconds to unplug the two pcv hoses and tip it over a pan, or just unscrew 4 bolts. If you do it every oil change its not a big deal, shouldnt collect that much within 3-5k miles. Have a jlt one in my lightning and its 1/4 filled every 2500miles, but lots of boost bein thrown at it.
  16. How to drain ford performance air/oil separator M-6766-R23.

prevents oil from being sent back into the intake, which will keep the octane of the fuel being degraded. Also keeps the valves cleaner. Id recommend it for any multi/direct injection vehicle.
  17. I’m thinking of a 6 speed manual. Thoughts?

Also forgot to mention, my dad and i just went through what shouldve been an easy process of swapping a stock 5spd for a 6spd tremec and it took forever to work out errors and kinks. If that was hard i cant imagine this, but then again im not the most mechanically inclined in that area.
  18. I’m thinking of a 6 speed manual. Thoughts?

so if any of you guys were on the svtp forum a while back, one of the guys swapped a 6 speed tremec on his lightning, used some parts from the manual f150s to get it to work, and since some f150s had the option, some cutouts/bolts were there to make it work. However, it was a metric asston of...
  19. Sound: 2.3 vs 3.0

ive slowly got to get over the v6 noise of the 3.5, sounds good at idle, but its not pleasant, but not terrible. The 2.3 didnt sound bad, but it was just noise to me. I put the mbrp on mine and kinda made it deeper, but mild overall. The hype with the gen 3 raptor and this i dont get it...
