Nearly five month wait due to the shipping backlog. These are Rays wheels from Japan. 18x8 +38 offset 19.6lbs. General Grabber UHP 255/55r18.
Combined weight 50.8lbs vs 58lbs stock with 10,000 miles tread wear.
As you can see, this is strictly a street truck. No overlanding for me.
According to ARE the topper weighs about 165lbs. Definitely not going to sag the rear an inch. Nothing in the bed besides a plastic Ford bed liner and a rubber mat.
correct, 3” and 5”. New wheels and tires are different size than stock 255/65r17. New wheels are 18x8 +38mm offset with 255/55 tires. Went from 30 inch tire to 29 inch tire.
On the driver side the rear is about 1/4” lower (factory lean). As was pointed out, the shell(cap, topper) does make the...
I had a slight vibration only under moderate to hard acceleration. I put in Belltech 2 degree shims which nearly got rid of the vibration. It is very small now. I was curious to what shims you used. I am on the fence about going to 3 degree shims.
I’m running the Ford tune plus a Pedal Commander. Even with the tune the throttle response was too laggy for me. The Pedal Commander really woke up the response. I have to be mindful

I did a max drop on the front, about 2.5”. The front is MUCH stiffer than stock. The rear is not bad, and doesn’t rock back and forth like stock. So if you lower all the way down expect a very different ride.
the cable is released using a key from the outside of the garage door. You unlock the cable, then pull it to release the garage door opener from the door. It is necessary if there is no other way into the garage. Meaning, no other door. It’s an apartment thing
I’ve got a set of these Rays A-LAP 07x wheels on the way from Japan. They’re 18x8 +38mm, so no tires sticking out of the fenders for me. At around 19 pounds they’re about as light as you can find in a truck wheel this size. Tire size is my big decision now. Sticking with the light weight theme...
I expect to wear the inside of the front tires more now. Pay to play situation. My family is a bunch shorties so we are all happy to not have to climb up into the truck anymore.
