So it is either 30 or 40 A. Wonder which, need to check the wiring diagram.
Thank you. I have never needed to know this information but now that I am towing a camper I have a friend trying to solve a fuse problem. Can you direct me to where I will find a wiring diagram? He has knowledge to take it from there.

OK,
So based on what I know and what I recall from the dealer and the wiring diagrams:
30 A is for the trailer brakes.
40 A is for the 12 volt supply to the trailer.
I recall that I asked the dealer before I ordered the Ranger what the current available in the trailer would be. As I recall, the reply was 40 Amps.

Thanks a bunch. Given that information we will replace a 30amp fuse with a 30 amp circuit breaker and I hope that the ability to reset will solve my issue of blowing out a 30 amp fuse on the camper side.

Does anyone have any information on the Trailer Modules (TRM) shown in the 7-Pin Wiring Diagram 2? I'm trying to get more info on how the VBATT output works. Things like, does it prevent backwards curent flow (current from trailer to vehicle battery) and does it automatically disconnect power when the motor its turned off (to prevent vehicle battery from going dead? I've read that it is disconnected (no power) when there is no trailer connected but can't tell what it uses to detect the presence of a trailer. I've read conflicting information regarding all of this.
